The Tomoyatalian Crossbow is one of most common weapon use by Royal Midgar Military especially the Royal Midgar Charlotte Army. Prior the introduction of Tomoyatalian Crossbow in G.C. 2247, the Royal Charlotte unit use Tomoyatalian Bow as primary weapon since the foundation of the unit by Princess Charlotte who is pioneer of this army. Although the Tomoyatalian Crossbow were hand craft weapon by local forge (a common Isekai tropes) with various model and design from individual made. The standard crossbow model was introducing in G.C. 2517 on the last stage of Gamindustrian invasion as Royal Charlotte army have been increased with more crossbow being produce by famous Tomo-Rikira company who came up with the model known as "RG-series" which became a primary weapon for them. The Tomoyatalian Crossbow has continued to serve on Charlotte unit that protect Kingdom of Midgar, the Kingdom of Isla, and later the Gamalaticania Alliance who offer this weapon to their elite force thanks to their accuracy and less recoil.

Despite being name Tomoyatalian Crossbow, the "Tomoyatalian" species is no longer canon in Touhou Galaxy Project alongside with "Chiyukitalian" species which is now refer entirely as "Midgaran" (or Guardian Characters) species, the weapon is still name Tomoyatalian Crossbow for a TGP classic nostalgia. The current Tomoyatalian Crossbow product is RG-22.
