Ok, go to wherever your DP is installed, ie your steamapps/common/Deadly Premonition. Now find and double click on the 'redist' folder.

Next, scroll down to the bottom and double click 'PhysX_SystemSoftware' and run the REPAIR option.

Now Try!



I tried everything on these forums to fix my startup crash problem, nothing worked untill i did this and fixed my problem.

PS: Apparently other games which use PhysX software as well cause DP to crash, so everytime you install a game which uses PhysX, like Borderlands 2 or Planetside 2, you might have to repair it again.
