LH-317 Prospect-class Freighter-Hauler

The LH-317 “Prospect”-class Freighter-Hauler is a medium-sized transport designed to transfer small craft and equipment, often in low-risk salvage operations. Slightly smaller than the standard R.U.S.T. Freighter, this vessel exchanges cargo containers for a working area for its crew to conduct repair and salvage operations in a pressurized zone. The working area is equipped with automatic warning lights to warn users of unexpected depressurization.

The Prospect’s twin connectors allow it to also accommodate grinder drones, which can be deployed to augment salvage operations. These drones can be directly controlled by the co-pilot or operated autonomously. In the event of damage or malfunction, the ship’s hangar can be used to collect and repair them; alternatively, the hangar can be used to transport more complicated salvage to larger collection facilities, or even carry a hybrid transport for missions to planetary bodies.
