Rules of Survival
  1. Be methodological.
  2. Rebind sprint to be toggle only on the shift-key, unless you want two small steps towards a ledge to become a sprint into the abyss.
  3. Once you have enough tapes, empty the weapon, stand somewhere safe and just stop.
do not risk a demotion after having completed a promotion.
  4. If you can, take the patient approach. redoing a promotion will take longer than the few seconds you will have to wait to do something safely.
  5. Try to fully clear rooms you move through, so that if you have to run from a killdrone, you have a safe escape route
  6. Not all rooms have to be inspected and not all turrets killed, your goal is to explore for tapes, not high body counts.
  7. Once kill drones have spotted you, their senses become paranormal and can detect you through a lot of different things. it is best to be in a different room as the killdrone and out of sight.
  8. The higher the level, the more you should care about ammo use and consider hacking where possible.
  9. If you can safely make a shot easier by moving closer, you should. Missing might slow you down more than moving closer.
  10. If you have ammo to spare and are above or below an enemy, shoot it, they are the best angles.
  11. If your gun comes with a safety, use it when holstering.
For revolvers, consider emptying them if convenient.
For Glock 17, eject mag, cycle, insert mag, holster.
For SAA, load 1, skip second, load remaining four and holster decocked on empty chamber.
  12. I suspect rooms become gradually more difficult the further you are removed from where you spawned
  13. If a route is blocked off to the point you can't safely clear it, just backtrack.
  14. Killdrones can break the glass
  15. Before you do parkour, consider if what you are jumping to is connected back to the main routes.
    It is possible to softlock.
  16. Only have your weapon holstered when hacking. You never know when you might need it.

-Try to keep your revolvers decocked and whenever you notice your enemy, cock the gun and shoot so after shooting and clearing the place, the gun is decocked after the shot by itself and won't shoot yourself by accident by holstering
-While some guns have safety, even if they're safe to be pulled out, try to practice holster and unholster by holding the TAB button so you'll get used to doing this action while holding the button so for the times you forget to decock, turn on your safety or having a Glock with a round chambered, you won't shoot yourself (I got used to it so much that my Glock is always chambered)

-For the SAA, it appears when you leave your gun half cocked, no matter how much you try and unholster fast. the gun doesn't shoot even if you fall from a height
-Whenever you get the chance to practice with your guns, always try to work on the double feed malfunction because it's the most difficult and time consuming one "Make this like breathing" by locking the slide back (Hold R and then press T), pull out the magazine and put it inside your inventory, chamber a round into the gun by pressing Z (It only works when the semi-automatic pistols do not have magazine inside them and the slide is locked) ,then insert the magazine and pull the slide to force a double feed malfunction to practice clearing it
-Double action revolvers only need to be decocked to be safe for holster and unholstering (If you got blocked chamber or spent cartridges, just adjust the cylinder after pulling it out so you won't miss a bullet.)

Controversial Thought:

:::Turn Lights on after confirming positions of kill-drones in incident room, and leave on after you pass the section::::

No sense in getting Light Fixated when approaching a drone in the dark only to spend the rest of the level in the 'target patching bin' after you wake one on your flank that was sleeping....

... or getting turned around when accidentally activating a flying drone, only to have it chase you into a sleeping turret you couldn't see in the dark.......

another tip: if you can, turn out rooms' lights. it'll make it a lot easier to spot killdrones even if it limits your visibility otherwise.
