Introduction
This guide aims to take you through the shortest path to execute your mission with 0 kills.

You can deviate from the path of this guide, but be careful! Some areas trigger cutscenes that may start an unavoidable fight. Some paths may make some cutscenes untriggable. If you must deviate, save often!

If this is your first time trying the Twilight of Edo Japan chapter, do yourself a huge favor and complete it normally. Not only you'll get to be acquainted with the level, but I also believe that your first playthrough will be a healthier and more positive experience.

In this run we will have to:

NOT save The Prisoner

Trigger the Relentless Maid event

Pick-up four Koban

Grab the Mannequin
1 - Guardhouse
Use the Shadowed Self technique to go past the guards. Do the same for the next pair and enter the Guardhouse.

If you accidentally start a fight, use the flee command to escape without killing anyone. Just starting a fight does not count as a kill in any way.

Watch the cutscene containing the password tutorial. There's a Set of Chain Mail on the white bamboo door to the right if you want.

Take the leftmost door and go ahead, evade the ronin and go outside. Let's call this area Residencial Palace Courtyard.

Evade the ronin, cross the bridge and and before you talk to the guards and say the password, notice that there's a locked door to the southwest. We'll be coming back here later.

Enter the Residential palace.
2 - Residential Palace
As you enter, you'll see three doors. Go to the right one and enter. You'll trigger a cutscene. There are other routes in this section but we need to take this one for our first koban.

The purpose of this cutscene is to show you that hidden doors exist. All hidden doors have a different wooden pattern in the bottom part. Follow the ninja inside.

The ninja will ask you the password. Select the correct option (according to the bell) and watch the cutscene in the attic.

Grab your first Koban in the chest, loot the place and leave the area using the north passage, where a ninja will spawn. Use the Shadowed Self and leave to the roof.

Follow the roof normally until you reach the storehouse. Don't go up the stairs in the roof or down the tree. Go straight to the storehouse. Grab the key.

Now remember that locked door in the Residential Palace Couryard? We're going to open it. Go all the way back to that location. Select the Storehouse Key and open the door.

Inside there's a chest with the Dungeon Key. Collect it and use Shadowed Self to evade the opposition.

3 - Dungeon
Before we go to the Dungeon, we need to get some levels, a Genji Tabi and our second Koban.

Go back to the Residential Palace. Now take the leftmost door and follow the normal route out of the palace. You'll end up in the area with the two bridges.

Go up first and use the Storehouse Key on the Storehouse. Inside you'll see a princess, some souls and loot. Loot, equip any gear you have and fight the Lost Souls enemy. We need levels and can kill them since they don't count as alive. You should be Level 4 after the enemies are dead. Don't talk to the woman in the room or you'll fail your mission!

Also, this is the place where you can get your second Koban. And don't miss the Genji Tabi!

Since the guards won't let you pass if you try the Castle Keep main entrance, you are forced to go back to the very place where you got the Storehouse Key and go up to the First Floor Attic. So get to do it!

When you are in the attic, press the first lever to procceed. You can get 2 Hook and Rope sets here and a Fujin Scroll. I recommend you get them if you know your way around here.

Fall down in the hole. You are now in the Dungeon.

Open the cell door with the Dungeon Key and go left. We're not saving The Prisoner . We need him locked up for later!

Exit the Dungeon via the door to the left.
4 - Castle Keep - First Floor
Go left. Grab the Kotetsu from the chest near the Minister. In the next room, go right, grab the Izanagi Scroll and go back. Go down and right. You are now at the Keep's entrance, as if you entered by killing the two guards in the bridge area.

Run to the right, go down the stairs. Enter the door and procceed to wake up the Relentless Maid. She'll be our main source of experience in this chapter as she will always appear in the rooms, trying to kill you.

She may be a little tough at first, but if you're having difficulties, a combination of Fireflies' Wake, Genji Tabi and Firefall can be enough to put her down. Don't let her get close, as her Seize can be fatal at this level. Keep your distance and move away, as she only has close ranged attacks. If you need to push her, Waterspout can help, but it may not be as effective.

Go back, up and then enter the room guarded by the samurai.

Go up and then to the last room, guarded by the ronin. Say the password, enter and grab the Koban and the Wad of Shinobi Birdlime. Go back and then procceed to the first room. You can trigger the trap in the room if you want some exp. Firefall on the logs, kill the puppet.

Like Lost Souls, you can kill wooden puppets and other mechanical enemies to level up. They don't count against our objective. Up to the second floor.
5 - Castle Keep - Second Floor
By now you should have three Koban.

We can use this area to trigger some Relentless Maid battles and level up. You can respawn the maid by going down and up the stairs.

Get to level 6 to learn Shuriken Barrage. Now you can use your new skill to kill her from a distance. Get to level 9 to have an easier time facing Gennai later. She can also drop Maid Sashes.

Level 9 is okay, so you might not end up killing her.

Also, in the room to the southeast (the one with the orange glow), there's your last Koban, a Kanesada an Ode Shuriken and a Shrimp Rice Ball. Go back to the Relentless Maid room and enter the south purple room.

This room consists of a series of doors that go down, but look carefully before the second door. There's a hidden door to the left. Take it and then go up via secret door.

On the next room, go upstairs via the ladder.

You're now on the Second Floor Attic. Save the game. This room has only one exit, to the southeast. Here, you can find one Enma Charm, a Shinobi Wristguard and a Fuma Shuriken. Be careful not to fall down the holes. Exit the attic via the southeast stairs.

Climb the wooden stairs in direction to the Third Floor.
6 - Castle Keep - Third Floor and Fourth Floor
Start by taking the rope ladder upstairs.

Now, don't touch the puppets or you will be thrown down to the Dungeon again. You can use Shadowed Self to evade them. Careful not to fall down the edge too.

In this room there is a Genji Helm to the left and a Hook and Rope Set going up. I suggest you pick the Hook and Rope Set if you don't have any. Then, go down the ladder on the northwest side.

Up the wooden stairs. Now you are on the Fourth Floor. Immediately go up the rope ladder to a room full of monsters. It's best to skip them. Use your Hook and Rope Set to do so.

Get the set of Genji Armor here by killing the monsters to the left and go downstairs. Save.

Go ahead and do the necessary steps to fight Puppetmaster Gennai.

Take care of his toys and then get close to him, he does not tend to use Electric Discharge up close if you are under him. If he does, heal.

He'll drop an item called Mainspring if you kill all puppets. Procceed to the next room and notice the hole in the wall. Save.

Insert three Koban. BE CAREFUL WITH THE TRAP IN THE MIDDLE OF ROOM with the hole in the wall. Go back one room. Insert the Mainspring in the doll. Win the fight against the Mimic Mannet.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE TRAP IN THE MIDDLE OF ROOM AGAIN or you'll fall to the Dungeon, break the Mimic and fail the whole objective!

Leave this room. Use the last Koban to leave the room with the hole. Level up if you want, but don't mind the Mimic, he'll get blown up in the next floor so you don't have to kill the guards.

After you're done, take the left exit and go up.
7 - Castle Keep - Fifth and Sixth Floor
Now a rat will scare the Mimic and he'll blow up the guards for you.

In the next room, The Prisoner will start blasting and scaring away the samurai, so you don't have to kill them. If you saved The Prisoner beforehand, you'll have to restart the chapter to obtain 0 kills.

Equip The Prisoner and fight Miyamoto Musashi. A good strategy is to keep Oboromaru throwing shurikens while recovering under the fire field and have The Prisoner firing Warning Shot from afar.

Go through the poster and fight Yodogimi. Go up to the Sixth Floor.

Fight Ode Iou and then Gamahebi.

Congratulations! You've finished Twilight of Edo Japan with 0 kills!

As for the reward, you get Sakamoto Ryoma's sword, Mutsunokami.

I'm doing this run myself right now, although I used the wiki and experience to guide me.
Personally I used the Lost Souls in the storeroom to grind levels (on a previous failed run I used the Souls in front of Amakusa but doing this makes the Prisoner follow you earlier so you are forced to kill the 6 guards), I also freed Goemon in the Dungeon, which restocks many boxes with new items and Koban, and talked to the minister on the 3rd(?) floor with Hannya-Maru and the Monk to get 10 free Castella Cake.

What I'm looking into right now is to find as many Koban as possible to see if it's possible to feed the Bizarre Pot (6 or 10 needed) despite spending the 4 to get O-Robo/Mimic Mammet and get the secret techniques, mostly by checking in all the box locations after freeing Goemon.
