If you are using WCR v1.0.0, WCF may still be used.

Overview
Western Clothes Flavor (WCF) is a submod for Snori's Adopt Western Clothes mod which introduces a new westernization mechanic to make the westernization process feel more dynamic than just pressing a button.

With WCF running on top of AWC, westernizing your pops and characters now involves a lengthy process by which your country slowly westernizes. The rate at which your country westernizes is influenced by the clout of your interest groups, where more progressive IGs having more influence will help speed the process up and traditionalist IGs will slow it down. The process is expected to take roughly 2 years of in-game time, but can vary greatly depending on your nation's circumstances.

Additionally, the conditions for beginning westernization have been expanded. Instead of just the Intelligentsia being in government and the landowners not powerful, the progressive IGs being influential is needed instead. Any one of the progressive IGs must also either be powerful, or, alternatively, require the country's head of state be in one of the progressive IGs.

As westernization progresses, different IG leaders and parts of your populace will adopt western fashion at different points. The first people to westernize will be your nation's leader and their heir, if applicable, as well as the military and bureaucracy. It then spreads to the industrialists and capitalists, as the progressive wealthy are better able to afford the new clothes and are more receptive to matching their peers from the West. This process continues until the aristocrats, farmers, and peasants westernize last, representing their unwillingness to leave traditions and simply the effects of living far from urban centers.

All details are provided in-game through the journal entry which begins upon triggering westernization.

Mod Compatibility
WCF has built-in interoperability with Gas, Guns, Garb, and Grub, where the adoption of certain military uniform PMs will provide a small boost to westernization progress. This feature is completely optional and handled automatically - if 4G is not installed and enabled, all text and modifiers related to this will be hidden and disabled without any action required on your part.

WCF is also confirmed to work with blue0china's East Asian Clothes mod when East Asian Clothes Patch is installed.

This mod overwrites the following files from AWC:
common/decisions/snori_decisions.txt common/scripted_triggers/snori_korean_clothes_triggers.txt
snori_decisions.txt is overwritten to be made blank in order to completely disable the original westernization decision that comes with AWC. Mods that tweak this decision will not be compatible.

snori_korean_clothes_triggers.txt defines logic AWC uses to determine which pops are considered westernized. The logic is tweaked such that:
• "Westernized countries" are redefined as any country which has a primary culture with the European Heritage trait (AWC's original logic involved checking religions instead).
• A country's current westernization progress is taken into account to gradually westernize certain pops and characters (AWC's original logic westernized everyone all at once).
Mods that tweak the westernization triggers will not be compatible.

All other files in the mod are original to WCF, and should not have any major conflicts with other mods.

For modders: Please DO NOT use `snori_kor_clothes_modifier` to check if a country has finished westernization or not. WCF has removed all logic that applies this modifier. The scripted triggers and `snori_clothes_decision_taken` variable still exist and ought to be used instead.

Loading Order
The recommended loading order is:
• Adopt Western Clothes
• Western Clothes Flavor

WCF does not need to be directly below AWC - it can be placed anywhere closer to the bottom in your playset than AWC - but having them together may help reduce conflicts. The only requirement is that WCF cannot be placed above AWC.

For users with EAC, EACP, and/or 4G, the following loading order worked fine during testing. Please refer to the EACP and GGGG mod pages for further details if you have issues.
• Gas, Guns, Garb, and Grub
• Adopt Western Clothes
• East Asian Clothes
• East Asian Clothes Patch
• Western Clothes Flavor

DLC Requirements
This mod does not rely on any DLC features, so you should not need any DLCs.

YES, you may include this mod in any modpacks/collections/whatever.
YES, you may use this mod as a base to create your own. Credit and a link back here would be very much appreciated!
YES, you may translate this mod into other languages. DO upload your translation as a separate submod to the Steam Workshop - I don't like maintaining translations in the main mod. I will link translations here if you make them and post them to the workshop.

It's a bit weird, but when I started play in vanilla of victoria the Tsar and the kaiser have (almost) no hair, and when I played with the "Heir Hair Fix for Western Clothes" mod they had 'normal' hair...

Again, sorry for (I hope xd) small errors in translations, in my defense I will only say that I don't know much about programming, and I've been translating simpler mods for less than a month xd

It's strange, because in my games this bug still exist, unless I have the mentioned mod (except then there is a problem with naked agitors anyway)

Heir Hair Fix should not be necessary anymore since the bald heirs bug was patched out in the base game, as far as I know.

I have been given maintenance responsibilities for Adopt Western Clothes, which is now Western Clothes: Redux

The features of WCF are going to merged into the new mod. I will post another comment here when it happens. For now, please use WCR as if it were AWC (as of now, it is equivalent for all intents and purposes) and proceed as normal.

I've updated my submod East Asian Clothes Patch to make it work with 1.3; it requires blue0china's East Asian Clothes mods to be active as well, but as long as you have all 4 mods running you should have no problems with this mod and 1.3, namely agitators not having any clothes.

not particularly gamebreaking but AWC atm does cause all western agitators to be naked.
