Absorb Tank Fire Summoner. WiP

Sentinel - Exorcist - Feral

This isn't a trigger build, we are a pure summoner. We'll be using two minion types and some buffs/debuffs to annihilate our enemies.

Skills

Sunbirds - Battlefield control and decent damage.

These wonderful birds will keep you projectile free, slow and blind enemies.

Guardian Spirit - Main damage. Radius based AoE pulse and fireball projectiles.

Amazing damage and clear, pop one or two in a pack and it's gone in moments.

Mandala - Damage increasing ground aura.

Left on manual cast to control placement. Minions benefit!

Exorcism - This skill serves dual purpose.

Most importantly it allows you to move your otherwise immobile guardians. It's also taking full advantage of class passive buffs on the setup tree to have 72% curse effectiveness to drop even the highest of health monsters.

Battle Roar - More absorb.

Fully automated with 2x Feral cast on damage taken.

Gameplay


Lately I've been rolling into packs and dropping the damage aura and then surrounding myself with guardian spirits. Sometimes swapping between recalling them with Exorcism or manually casting them in the center of packs before rolling in. Depends on the situation or preferred playstyle.


With the above level 50 tree and un-optimized gear you'll be netting 100% increased buff strength on Mandala and a hefty 72% curse effectiveness on Exorcism.


I've left out gearing for now as it's pretty flexible, but you'll want to focus on minion damage and resists primarily.


WiP - more to follow once I've minmaxxed some gear and glyphs. This build is still wearing gear I picked up while leveling and performing greatly.

Update. Glyphs are the answer for mana regen or on hit.

Interesting. I dont recall having mana issues so perhaps something did change with the autocast. In that case I'd probably stack regen food, with MP steal which likely only works with the auto attack and then just recall them more instead of resummoning a bunch.

The damage being an issue is also odd as we purposefully take Exorcism and Mandala.

I'll hope back in later today and scope out if the build is broken or not.

Reporting back: While the build works and is tanky enough, it struggles in Hellgate 1-1 already with dmg. The random minion trigger build I copied from youtube (Title: Ghostlore - Infinite Auto Summon Build) is way faster, but a bit glas cannon. However, that would not be an issue if the mana problem could be solved. I'm not sure if a recent update changed something, but my mana is empty instantly, no amount of regen can keep up. And it doesn't seem like mana% steal or mana on kill does anything. I'm starting to think triggered skills used to not spend your mana and that got nerfed. If I can't find a decent solution I might stop playing the game. Since money drops also seem to be bugged currently I dunno.

Lemme know how it goes! I ended up getting pretty heavy into escape from tarkov and took a break form this. I do intend to go back soon though. Cheers.

Looks more promising than the trigger build (Sentinel+Exorcist+Hashashin) at first glance and less glass canon. I will go with this one and test it for my first char. The focus on absorb seemed obvious when I looked over sentinel skills, so taking Feral makes sense and if Exorcist can debuff Mob dmg, well we like to double dip whenever we can in ARPGs right :P
