Description
This tiny mod adds global technology sharing for extra immersion, realism, and historical accuracy.

This mod does exactly what it says: A global technology-sharing group.

Description

The idea behind it is that certain technologies become more and more common around the globe, similar to how the Neighbour Bonus in EU4 works. This, of course, helps minors way more than major nations. Especially things such as the planes; just because you couldn't invest time into researching close air support planes does not mean that CAS is some magical alien technology in 1944 that needs to be researched from scratch; your scientists should have probably developed a general understanding on how CAS planes work by 1944 simply by reading the news of WW2.
Each nation that has researched a technology receives a -1.5% bonus, up to -50% if over 33 other nations have also done so.
There is one unintended side effect: You can see exactly which other nations have researched a certain technology. I personally would prefer if there were a way to hide this. This side effect can be seen as positive or negative.
The downside for this is that you have perfect knowledge of every technology every other nation has researched, so everyone can see that you have, e.g., the Panthers, even before a single one is engaged in combat. The pro is that you know every technology other nations have researched, giving you a good idea of where you are compared to other countries. This could be explained by your intelligence service doing its job.

Requires Together For Victory

Compatibility

While technically compatible with everything and anything, it only messes up the num_tech_sharing_groups, which in vanilla only the tech share continues focus uses. However, other mods might also use that check (I can't think of any). I might create a fix for the vanilla tech share to continue to focus on in the future. But for now, I feel this mod sorta makes that continuous focus a tiny bit redundant (I never used it myself ever, anyways)

This mod makes my game run like a potato. Though the idea is very good. Technology should spread locally like EU4 ideas. At least in a faction or a continent, not whole world.

if youre playing this with a mod that has alot of newly added technologies it will freeze the game for 10 seconds trying to load

I love the mod, I find that when used in mods that expand the tech tree it can make loading the tech tree slower, I was wondering that instead of a "Universal tech group" you made it specific to the factions that country is in AKA that if Italy/Germany become members of the same faction they have their own group to share tech automatically.
