Master tip: you can find skee-ball on level E0M3 - DOLLARSHAVER.




Come close to a skee-ball machine. Aim at a ball inside it (point your crosshair at a ball). If you see "INTERACT", you have done everything correctly.

Then, press "E" (default key for interaction) to pick up the ball. If the ball gets bigger and starts to follow your crosshair after pressing the interaction button, you have done everything correctly.

Master tip: If pressing "E" does not work, reset your keybinding settings to "default".

Master tip: If you don't see "INTERACT", then you are probably too far away!




To position yourself correctly, you must:

1. Stand right in front of a hole

2. Aim the ball at the beginning and center of the alley

Master tip: ask yourself the following questions before every shot:


am I in front of the hole I am trying to throw a ball in?


am I aiming the ball at the beginning of the alley?


am I aiming the ball at the center of the alley?



If EVERYTHING checks out in your book, procede to the next step.

Master tip: Don't give up.

I know (maybe better than anyone) that it can be discouraging to fail.



But it does not matter how discouraged you feel - if whatever you're pursuing is important for you, do not give up. I know that while looking at people who achieved mastery it may appear that to be a master you have to be a winner and win constantly. The truth is, masters are the biggest losers. Masters lose all the time. And this is what makes them so good.

The secret of mastery is to learn from your defeats. Every time you fail, you get better. Eventually, step-by-step, you will get good. And then better than good. And then even better than better than good.

People think it will get easier and there will be less failures. That is true to some. It is true to people who decide that whatever they had achieved is "enough". However, true masters never stop to fail. Even if they have achieved what is considered to be "the peak" of their craft, True Masters seek new ways of failure. They constantly go out of their comfort zone, experiment, try new things. True Masters seek to fail, because they learn from their failures and get better.

People who don't fail, don't try or don't learn. Failure is not a sign of being "not being good enough", it is a sign of boundaries being pushed!

People who are good at "winning" are also good at getting comfortable with the status QUO. "Why push yourself further? Why fail? I win here, on this level, so why bother?", ask "people good at winning". They ask themselves such questions and stagnate! They are no better than people who outright give up. In fact, they are the same type of people, just on different levels of proficiency!
