(Spoilers Ahoy!) Complete Map of the Layers with Area Connections! {Updated Maps and Interconnected Map update!}
By TheKamelotBard and 1 collaborators
Making plans to go somewhere in this game isn't too hard, but if you don't know where you're going ahead of time it can feel daunting.

So I took some time to find every single connection and whether or not it dead ends depending on how you go, exploring anywhere is easier with a map, thus I made one of every single layer for other players to use and to figure out where they need to go.

Map Layouts and notes.
These maps are cut from the games, but the connections aren't known until you use them, which is good but sometimes you can't figure out how to get to places and may just want to blast through things without any problems.

There are four colors to note for the connections between areas;

Blue; passable no matter what (you won't go into a dead end if you go through this route)

Red; This connection comes up to a dead end to the other connection if you use it without using the upper connections

Purple; This connection comes up to a dead end to the other connection if you use it without using the lower connections.

Yellow; This connection is unable to be accessed from other connections and will also be unable to be reused after going through the area.

If a Blue Connection has a whistle next to it then you need skills from that whistle to go to other connections if you haven't used an upper connection this run. (Effectively a Red Route until later

Eoun's guide helped me find the connections, as such some connections are not seen and may be documented improperly;

Layer One

Twin Falls requires ropes to go up it, making it the first dead end of the game.

The Multilayer Hill to Stone Ark connection requires ropes to be placed if you do not have the Black Whistle skills needed to climb the cliffs.
Layer Two

The Inverted Forest must be come at from either the Forest of Temptation or Corpse-Weaper Den to not be a dead end.

You can only use the Inverted Arbor and Corpse-Weaper Den connection by going through Inverted Arbor, you need ropes for it.
Layer Three

This layer has the most amount of dead ends, either requiring ropes or for you to do a puzzle beforehand.

The best route through this layer starts at the second;

Using Updraft Wasteland go through the Cold-Heat Layer

Next go to Hexagon Pillars (I used another guide for these routes, so the Cold-Heat Layer to Glass Layer connection may be a hidden connection similar to the Goblet of Giants to Nanachi's Hideout connection)

From Hexagon Pillars go to Quadruple Pit

From Quadruple Pit go to the Glass Layer (either is fine, the Red Connection, blocked by a rock you have to pickax through is the best as it goes past the Crimson Split Jaw you otherwise have to run past)

From Glass Layer go the Freezing Hot Mines

The return trip will have you go up through the Crimson Splitjaw's room to use your whistle to break the ice and OHKO it. You will have to climb in the quadruple pit, but it should only be a few seconds outside. Down when going to the Fourth Layer, Up when going to the Second Layer.

Note: Cold Heat Layer 3529m to Glass Layer 4907m route requires a pin and rope if player's not using unlimited health mod etc it's one-way because ice reforms if you change zone after melting it. The route some enjoy for descending 3rd layer is Updraft Wasteland 2597m to Cold Heat Layer 3481m (-22% red whistle fullness),
Cold Heat Layer 3480m to Hexagon Pillars 3296m (cumulative: -5% red whistle health, -27% red whistle fullness),
Hexagon Pillars 3315m to Quadruple Pit 4468m (cumulative: -5% red whistle health, -56% red whistle fullness),
Quadruple Pit 4522m to Rock Slide Hall 5948m (cumulative: -5% red whistle health, -92% red whistle fullness),
Rock Slide Hall 6017m to Freezing Hot Mines 6511m (cumulative: -5% red whistle health, -104% red whistle fullness). Rope/unlimited health mod/etc to progress thereafter. Moon whistle video reference. Layer Four

Ignoring the Floating Rocks Area may be a good idea, Crystal Valley is a much better area to go through to get to either the Eternal Fortunes or Giant Vine Bridge from Hidden Hot Springs. Although, it does have two bag spawns.
Layer Five

Water Crystals 1 has a case of odd geometry that doesn't allow you to reuse the connection after you use ropes, it also seems to have a case of invisible walls blocking the way down so it's best to just ignore this area.

Note: Some explorers believe the reason why Water Crystals zones' footing changes over time is due to the regular crashing of the waves, breaking and reforming structures. That's why, in the movie, Prushka was amazed when Riko told her they took this route as it's considered the difficult route.

Note: Hell's Crossing to Seeker Camp/Inverted Arbor requires increased sprinting speed for jump distance if not using rope.
