Hello everyone! On the discussions list, I saw a lot of people complaining about the difficulty of the Astari race and how hard it is to get gems. I managed to kill all of the Astari and have over 50 gems atm. So I decided i'd teach you how you can do the same in a simple step by step process!
How to Defeat the Astari
Okay, so to defeat the Astari, you need to
1. Get population over 500 and unlock meteor strike
2. Save up 12k belief.
3. Send 2 meteor strikes on the Astari settlement, 1 on the settlement, and 1 near the entrance/exit of the settlement.
4. watch all of the Astari come running out of the settlement only to be burned alive, win!(there might still be around 4-10 remaining Astari afterwards which you can easily use the finger of god to kill)
How to get a ton of Gems!
Okay, now to get a lot of gems, you must first defeat the Astari. Once the Astari are finished, do this to get gems.
1. Use the Leash to leash a ton of followers.
2. Send them to the pit of doom.
3. Make it rain gems!

Once you defeat the Astari, the happiness bar becomes useless so feel free to continuously send followers to their deaths for gems!

I killed em all with one finger of god.... on a tree.
It set on fire and when i came back, the settlement was gone and the land was already mine
So i managed to get to weyworld before connecting my civilization. Lifehacks lol

Too keep youe people happy just click couple dozen of times near your houses with the miracle that turns ground to happy and shiny (don't know how it calls in english), it almost instantly hypes happiness even when I kill 500-600 people at once in pit... This is a very easy game. Also to get tons of belief, when you beat Astari, put autocollector monuments and go to sleep, you'll get tons of belief in the mornig. I have about 4kk now. I can make meteor shower for hours.)

you can also send a meteror during a festival and kill everybody with one meteor instead of 2.

lol read the comments right now i dont have a happynes bar and i am sacraficeing my builders in the pit thowe its broken still have yet to build it dont know how it works but idk i git gems easly so im not gana progrss till i have about a mear 10000 gems

I created a bulder settelment right in front of the pit of doom on that grass layer above it and then sacrifice the builders every now and then it has a huge pop and never stops producing builders because it caps at 84 at the moment for me it give me a ton of gems and my happness is kept at max with festivals

also, if you have enough belief, just use the finger of god and set all their trees on fire, it kills a big portion of their pop and their happiness falls to 0

I used 20 gems for one fountain and 20 gems for the Tree of Happiness. I then planted a handful of holy trees with belief. That gave me enough of a happiness buffer that I could catch up to the Astari by killing them (or planting more trees), and I didn't need to sacrifice anyone to do it.

Once you start killing the Astari, their happiness falls. I put one swamp around their ceremony at the start of a celebration and with the people killed it dropped their happiness to zero before the celebration ended. It did not defeat the Astari, but I believe this tip will help folks get a handle on them if you're not ready for the meteor finish.

Also, if you can get up to 40 gems, get the fountain and the happy tree from the gifts menu and run constant celebrations, those really boost hapiness and can get you Astari followers easy.
