Inamarcus becomes the primary heir as soon as I integrate Coporia, a client state successfully. I had clientized a small monarchy named Coporia in northwest Spain, and then spent a couple years integrating it into my kingdom. Inamarcus was one of the characters in Coporia whom I welcomed, and as soon as I integrated Coporia, the game made him replace Buta Davidite (my king's son) as the primary heir.

- It's not clear why the game suddenly gives Inamarcus top priority as the successor. Inamarcus belongs to an unintegrated culture and foreign religion (Druidic). He has no job and low cash (344 gold). He is not a friend of the ruler. He has 68 loyalty, 5000 succession support (no explanation of why he has this support when I hover over the 5000 succession gold.) He has a Power Base of only 2, and they come just from him being the new "Primary Heir". Inamarcus has 19 supporters, including my kingdom's two top rulers (my king Nehunyah Davidite and the great priest Yonatan).

- In contrast, the ruler's son belongs to the right culture and religion (a Hebrew Christian), he's a governor, has almost 24000 gold, and is the ruler's 1st son. He also has 130 supporters, far more than Inamarcus.

- The second issue is that my succession law apparently isn't working. My form of succession law is set to first male primogeniture (the top succession law listed in the list of options). And my ruler is the father of the Davidic family son Buta Davidite with the Orange tag in the upper right of his portrait. It shows that the family heir has only 6 loyalty because he lost his place as the primary heir selected by the game.

- The third issue is that the game suddenly chose an unemployed non-Davidic Character Inamarcus as the favored heir with 5000 Succession Support coins, even though when I hover over the gold Succession Support coin, it shows a red X and says that only members of the Davidic family are proritized to inherit my Judean kingdom's throne. Within a few months of changing the ruler's preferred heir away from his son Buta Davidite, my ruler dies and Inamarcus takes over.

I am playing as Judea, the "Kingdom of Davidic", using the Timeline Extender Mod on the Invictus Mod.

- The first problem shows up when I convert to Christianity in about 101 AD (about 854 AUC) and the Mod takes away my "Prophetic Title" that lets me "anoint" the next king. Playing as Judea, I achieved the Prophetic Title Law, which is tough to get because you need a ruler with 8 or more Zeal points, very high Stability, Legitimacy, and Popularity. Then when I converted my religion from Jewish to Christian, the Prophetic Title law changes back to the "Royal Humility" law automatically. However, when I hover over the Prophetic Title Law, it gives the same requirements that it seems that I could still technically achieve again, even as a Christian ruler (8 or more Zeal, etc.) So I don't know why I lose the Prophetic Title when I become Christian. The practical problem with the Royal Humility Law is that you can't nominate your next anymore.
