While maintaining the robustness and reliability of the BLZ-09 chassis, the BLZ-14 is modified to include a fully equipped medical room in place of the infantry chamber. This medical room is designed to accommodate wounded soldiers, providing essential medical care and stabilization during critical situations. It is equipped with medical supplies, stretchers, and advanced life support equipment to handle a variety of injuries and medical emergencies.

The BLZ-14 features the same level of armor protection as the BLZ-09, with reinforced frontal armor for crew safety. However, similar to its counterpart, the side armor remains relatively weaker due to the presence of the medical room. As a result, the vehicle's defense primarily relies on escort vehicles for protection against hostile threats.

The livery of the BLZ-14 Medic/Medical Vehicle is distinctive, featuring a gray color scheme instead of the woodland camouflage found on standard military vehicles. This aids in the vehicle's identification as a medical asset and emphasizes its humanitarian role on the battlefield.

The BLZ-14 inherits the same engine as the BLZ-09, which provides adequate power and fuel efficiency. However, occasional engine issues may arise, requiring maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance during critical medical missions.

The BLZ-14 is crewed by a driver, a commander/radio operator, and a dedicated medical team trained in providing immediate medical assistance. The commander/radio operator plays a vital role in vehicle operations and communication, ensuring effective coordination with other units and command centers during medical missions.
