Introduction
Wreckages are crucial to the progression of the game. They are currently the only source of blueprints and potatoes. There are currently 3 wreckage variants in the game, each with increasing rarity. Here is some general information about all three structures:
  • They all emit a distress signal, which can be detected from a maximum of 200 meters away.
  • Breaking the radio disables the distress signal beacon, meaning you will no longer detect it.
  • They all contain metal platforms that can be destroyed for scrap
  • They all have at least one blueprint monitor and one package
  • Not only will the monitors yield a new blueprint, but they can broken for materials just like the distress radio.
No blueprints are exclusive to any one structure. Items are unlocked in a pre-defined internal order, so it doesn't actually matter what specific monitor you hack for a blueprint
Hallway Wreckage
These are the most common structures currently. They contain:
  • 2 Blueprint monitors
  • 2 Packages
  • The distress radio and both monitors, which can all be broken for 3 metal scrap and 7 electronic total
  • 17 Metal floors which can be removed for 21 total metal scrap
Trivia:
  • This is incredibly easy to notice, due to the tall bright walls forming the hallway
  • One of the floors cannot be destroyed
Satellite Wreckage
These are much rarer than the hallway wreckages. They contain:
  • 1 Blueprint monitor
  • 1 Package
  • The distress radio and monitor, which can both be broken for 2 metal scrap and 4 electronic total
  • 7 metal floors which can be removed for 8 total metal scrap
Trivia:
  • This wreckage will automatically spawn near you if you lose your crowbar.
  • Despite appearing quite intricate, the main structure cannot be entered (There is a rectangular room in the lower part of the asteroid which contains the blueprint monitor and package)
  • The left exterior wall of the lower room features a crowbar you can grab
  • The entrance is obstructed and cannot be entered without removing some of the metal floors
  • Unlike the other two wreckages, which have orange-accented metal floors, This wreckage features blue-accented ones.
Rocky Wreckage
These are the least rewarding structures in the game currently. They contain:
  • 1 Blueprint monitor
  • 1 Package
  • The distress radio and monitor, which can both be broken for 2 metal scrap and 4 electronic total
  • 5 Metal floors which can be removed for 8 total metal scrap (there is one panel at the bottom of the asteroid formation)
Trivia:
  • These structures are very hard to spot, which may contribute to the illusion of rarity
Obliteration Wreckage
These are the rarest structures in the game currently. They contain:
  • 1 Blueprint monitor, which can be broken for 1 metal scrap and 2 electronics
  • 1 Package
  • 10 Metal floors which can be removed for 18 total metal scrap
Trivia:
  • This structure only spawns in the Dense Obliteration biome. You can see what biome you're in using the F3 menu in-game.
  • This structure does not emit a signal, meaning you must look very closely to find it.
  • These two facts contribute to what makes it the rarest structure in the game.

seems it needs something like an anchor to help with the raft dock when your working on this.

This is extremely spot on. I enjoy the trivia section as well. Any chance you will show the re-spawn capsule and the beta belt structures and beyond in the future? Or a biome break down from all the belts?
