Because Paradox Interactive would rather milk the playerbase of all their money rather than fix the issues the game has with the steam workshop, I'm making this guide to show you THE WAY to install mods for this game.

How to do the thing.

Step 1: Go to Steam>Settings>Cloud and enable "Enable steam cloud"
Step 2: Go to Steam>Settings>Downloads and enable "Allow downloads during gameplay"
Step 3: Go to your library and right click the game, go to properties, go to General and enable "STEAM CLOUD"
Step 4: Open the game launcher
Step 5: Go to workshop and subscribe to mod
note: mod will show up in the mod section of your game launcher but cannot be enabled yet.
Step 6: Close the game launcher
Step 7: Open launcher and now the mod should have a checkbox
Note: You don't have to keep steam cloud on in order for your mods to continue existing. you can toggle them on and off as you wish, it's just when you're installing new mods when steam cloud matters.
Step 8: Paradox instead of making more DLC that should be part of the base game how about you fix this nonsense?
Step 9: Rule over Europe!

PS: you cannot have over 50 mods for this game for some god forsaken reason so make sure you don't.

Then I guess you can do that instead, but just know that to conquer Europe is to be a real man.

What do I do if I don’t want to rule over Europe? What if I wanna do a conquest of India lol?
