The "demining company" ? if yes, indeed, game where the difficulty lies mainly in the fact that you have to succeed in crossing the entire course without dying. The winner being the one who remains alive the longest, there is no need to reach the end of the course. Afterwards, yes, in other games you have checkpoints in order to have a new chance.
