Hi everyone! Welcome to my 100% Complentionist guide for OXENFREE II: Lost Signals!
This guide is split into 3 sections.
1) Achievements. You can find a whole list of the achievements in the game and details on how to unlock them. There are 27 total achievements in this game - 19 of which are hidden in your achievements library.
2) Letter Locations A detailed guide where each collectable/letter is hidden.
3) All-Endings. There are 3 different endings to this game, all of which are paired with an achievement.

BASIC FAQ

"Nope! This game creates a brand new experience and doesn't require any background knowledge; however, there are a lot of Easter Eggs and references that can only be enjoyed if you've played the first Oxenfree game!"


WORLD MAP

Achievements
Unfortunately you can't get every achievement through 1 playthrough. Scroll to the bottom of #Achievements-Continued for which ones conflict!

A House In The woods
Find out the secret at Jacob's House.
Story related - When Jacob finds the books of Maggie Adler in his garage during 11pm.


With A View In The Distance
Placed the transmitter at Charity Point.
Story related - Plant a transmitter at Charity Point.


Dont Get It Wet
Placed the transmitter at Tootega Falls.
Story related - Plant a transmitter at Tootega Falls.


Up On The Roof
Placed the transmitter at Garland.
Story related - Plant a transmitter at Garland.


Paycheck Earned
Check in with Evelyn for all 3 transmitters.
Talk to Evelyn on the walkie after you plant every transmitter. Sometimes you need to leave an area to call her.

Merry Scary Christmas
Create the scariest One Word Story.
While exploring the mines in Waterhead Bluffs with Jacob, you will travel back in time to 1899. While exploring, agree to play a game with him when he asks.
Choose the following dialogue options:
  • Santa
  • Fourteen
  • Loudly
On Top Of Things
Prevent Olivia from tuning the portal in any way.
After leaving the basement and confronting Olivia at the community center, the building will glitch and you will have to race Olivia to the upper floor and stop her from tuning the radio 4 times.
If you mess up you can exit the game and try again, but it is a bit annoying.
First = Race to the middle at the top floor
Second = The building will tilt to the left, run to the altar room.
Third = The building will tilt to the right, run to the 2nd floor stairs.
Fourth = The building will go completely sideways - Climb the railings as if they're ladders and parkour to the top.
Problem Solved And Shattered
Prevent Olivia from tuning the portal and smash her radio.
After fighting Olivia for the radio, choose to smash it. This may jeopardise the Hurt Healed achievement if you don't restart your game after receiving the achievement and choose not to smash it.
I've Had Weirder Jobs
Deliver the shoe to Hank.
Inside of the cave you explore during the 'Hot and Cold' game at Horseshoe Beach, there is a shoe. You have to win the game to complete this achievement. Go back to that cave after playing the game and pick up the shoe.
Later in Garland Ghost Town, help Hank by exploring the building to the far right.
- Set the upper left EMF reader to 3
- Set the lower EMF reader by the tear to 9
Take a picture of the man, and when Hank wishes for physical evidence, offer him the shoe from the cave.
He Sounded Familiar
Talk to a young radio enthusiast.
You have to stay active on the radios with Evelyn and the others to trigger this call. When Jacob falls through the floor of the Church Tower around 3am, pull out your walkie-talkie on channel 9 BEFORE running down to save him.
Master of Your Domain
Didn't pet Athena.
After planting the last transmitter in Garland, Jacob's dog, Athena, can be found in Uptown Harbor nearby the bus stop. Walk away and do not pet Athena.

Who Could Resist?
Pet Athena.
This time when talking to Jacob, choose to pet Athena! :)

RELATIONSHIPS

Walkie-Talkie Contacts:
  • Maria
  • Nick
  • Evelyn
  • Shelley
Attempt to call them before entering/exiting every region to progress your relationship and story.
If for some reason they aren't calling you, try running in and out of areas you've already explored to trigger it!

Unrequited Radio Romance
Hear Maria tell Charlie she has a crush on him.
To add Maria has a contact on your walkie-talkie, tune into Radio Station 88.1 and listen until you hear her ask for callers. Dial into channel 8 on your walkie and ask for advice. Maria is a typical walkie-talkie contact. Always attempt to call her before leaving and/or exiting every region.
Always encourage Maria's crush on Charlie, and when she asks what Riley thinks she should do about it, respond:"Just ask him out."

Just Stay Put
Save Shelley.
In Point Tilia when exploring the Ranger's station, use the phone and redial the last number. Be nice to her and honest that things are not what they seem. Shelley is a typical walkie-talkie contact. Always attempt to call her before leaving and/or exiting every region. On your way to planting the final transmitter in Garland, a phone will ring outside of Funnie's. Investigate the payphone and immediately walkie Shelley after hearing the voice on the phone. Tell her not to leave her station.

The Light Of Possibility
Finish Nick's journey.
At Waterhead Bluff's after exiting the cave system, answer the walkie on Channel 5 while strolling through the fog. The fog will dissipate, but the walkie will call again. Check the blue backpack inside of the Cabin when he asks. Nick is a typical walkie-talkie contact. Always attempt to call him before leaving and/or exiting every region. He will ask you to check in on him while he's out on the sea during the storm. Once you finish his story line, the achievement will trigger.

3 AM Food Friends.
Agree to be a special kind of friends.
Be friendly, kind, and honest to Jacob throughout the game. Sometime after 3am, Jacob will spark a conversation saying he has a dumb question. Say Yes, but that's not a dumb question, then follow up with: "3am Food Friends."

A Brighter Shade of Violet
Become friendly with Violet.
When you first meet Violet on the bridge, don't try to get near her, let her walk away and be kind to her. When seeing her again at the community centre, be nice to her.

More detailed:

2.Leave her alone Olivia.

Charlie's Angel
Become friendly with Charlie.
1. When you catch Charlie after he runs through the gate - Stop Jacob from fighting with him.
2. At the community centre - Be nice to Charlie while Olivia yells at him to kill you.

Become friendly with Olivia
Be kind to Olivia and Violet throughout the game, don't smash her radio, be nice to her when she calls you on the walkie-talkie at Garland Ghost Town, and choose Riley to enter through the portal.




ENDINGS

With Planetshine In Her Eyes
Finally... Planetshine.
At the end of the game, let Olivia stay to close the portal.


Take Care of Athena
...the apex of my accomplishment.
Be rude to Jacob throughout the game and do not befriend him. He will choose to enter the portal at the end of the game.


A Good Day Waiting On The Other Side
...accept what you find.
At the end of the game, choose Riley to stay and close the portal.





Conflicting Achievements

It can be quite difficult to befriend both Charlie and Olivia in the same playthrough:
  • Charlie's Angel
  • Hurt Healed

You cannot get every ending in the same playthrough:
  • With Planetshine In Her Eyes
  • Take Care of Athena
  • A Good Day Waiting On The Other Side
Letter Locations

There are 12 letters + 1 secret letter.
Letters can only be found after you have picked up your climbing gear from the general store. (Around 11pm)

All-Endings

There are 3 possible endings.


1. Choose Olivia - With Planetshine in Her Eyes

2. Choose Riley - A Good Day Waiting on the Other Side

3. Choose Jacob - Take Care of Athena
There are 2 possible results of this ending.
A.) If you have been rude to Jacob, he will volunteer before you are presented with the choice.
B.) Jacob will refuse to enter the portal if you have befriended him.

The Lock Box shown at the end of the game will change items depending on which ending you choose!

I want to mention, you don't have to be overly rude to Jacob for him to offer himself for the portal.
I was nice to him most of my playthrough, except in a few places, and still got it.

thank you so much for this! i actually played O2 on the switch when it released but now that i have it on pc i wanted to get all the achievements for a clean look. this helped so much! (as well as the add ons from the comments!)

Thank you for the guide. Just want to add few things about 'Hurt Healed' achievement.

If you befriend both Charlie and Violet, you will not get the achievement even if you act kindly to Olivia and do not smash the radio. What you want to do instead, being friendly to Violet and Olivia, but NOT with Charlie (let Jacob bully him, etc.).

Also I got both 'Hurt Healed' and 'Take Care of Athena' achievements on the same playthrough. So you are not necessarily need to choose Riley to go through the portal in the end to get 'Hurt Healed'. When Jacob went in, I still got both achievements. (Also Jacob never even asked me to be friends, so I guess I just ignored him a little too much lol)

Thank you both for your notes! I've noticed many of the achievements are a bit more lenient and flexible to get than are stated in the guide, but this is just a foolproof way of getting them every time!

I have a note for the 'The Light Of Possibility' achievement, I let Nick go through the portal and got the achievement. So it looks like as long as you tune in every time you can you get the achievement.

Much thanks to your efforts! Here are some of my findings/clarifications:

For "I've Had Weirder Jobs": If you failed the Hot and Cold challenge, you won't be able to fetch the shoe later (despite Hank mentions it and you got it written on your note). The cave is simply blocked;
For "He Sounded Familiar": You actually have to try calling Evelyn or others (if you still haven't finished their storyline) for a response to be triggered on channel 9;
For "The Light Of Possibility": The procedure is more flexible than you've written.
