Some props while outside may have broken lighting (especially the trees). If this happens, try enabling then disabling mat_fullbright while observing the entire map.


gm_farawaytown is a recreation of Faraway Town, the real-world setting of the game OMORI by OMOCAT. If you haven't played it, check it out! This map attemps to port the majority of the town to Garry's Mod while trying to stay at true to the source material as possible.

The map features the full exterior of Faraway Town, along with the interiors of the homes of the main six characters, the church, graveyard, and the four shops. The map also comes with AI Nodes, a Navmesh, and cubemaps.

The map requires no additional content. All textures and sounds are from OMORI, and all models were created by me. I had no experience in 3D modelling prior to this map, so I apologize if the models aren't particularly well-made.

I hope you enjoy this map.

Note: The music can be disabled by adjusting the music volume in your audio settings.
