The Tools
You really want to consider the interactive tools but lets cover as many of them as we can.

Flashlight
The default tool for every inexperienced break in, don't trust this tool that much as you'll only ever use it in really dark rooms with plenty of items across the floor that may be hidden normally.

Head Flashlight
want to look goofy as hell and give away your position? cause I don't. This tool is self explanatory, its a flashlight that straps to your head allowing you to toggle the light on and off without needing to have it in your hand. I only found one good use for this and its the Bungalow attics since there isn't much of a light source

Hammer
Ah the tool for all your destructive needs, this Ace Hardware tool is essential for breaking windows, toilets, and most electronics. If your objective says to damage stuff then this is probably going to be your go to tool for the job. Does not work on people :( A good tool to knock out residents

Wrench
Now you're wondering what the hell can you do with a Wrench? A lot of things actually, the wrench can detach things fixed to the building. Some of the things you can detach include but are not limited to; Satellite Dishes, Antennas, Solar Panels, Doors, and most importantly Cheap Security Cameras and any detached item is completely silent unless the item hits something or is breakable like the Satellite Dishes as those will make noise so be sure to catch those with your spare hand or swap to an empty slot and grab it before it falls. Try it on different things and see for yourself that this tool is by far the best approach tool there is.

Air Bags
These little things can be attached to fragile loot like a fancy gaming computer allowing you to throw the object and have it land safely without worry of it breaking. They're also fun to just yeet into things to watch it blow up as if it were an impact grenade or something. Simple gadget, has good utility when robbing a 2 story building and can get the objects outside the windows.

Rocket Booster
Something too heavy or just need something to fly? The Rocket Booster can be attached to anything and triggered using the Remote that comes with it (meaning you need 2 slots to use this) which can be used to make carrying a car easier although the thruster does make a lot of noise so this will draw the attention of any nearby guard or resident. "Not a Flying Toy"

Swag Bag
Tired of having 7 things to pick up and only 2 hands? well then this item is for you, the swag bag allows you to fill it with small objects like phones, laptops, files, figures, etc. all without needing to make 10 trips back to your getaway vehicle. This item also has the benefit of selling the items within it so you don't need to clutter your space. S.W.A.G. Stealing Whatever Anyone Grabs Bag

Lampshade
You must really want that Stealth 100 dont you? say no more as this is just as effective as the Cardboard box is for Snake, pop this baby on your head and stand still and any cop or resident will only see a human shaped lamp. nothing out of the ordinary Just pray they don't try to turn you on.

Climbing Pickaxe
What's that you don't have an entry point cause you had to rob the home that doesn't believe in gutters? say no more as these babies will make short work of roof countermeasures. I've yet to actually use these but i know what they're used for Non-VR players only need 1 as the highlight will force a quick action, VR players will need 2 to climb high walls.

Fire Crackers
Do you hate your neighbors? of course you do! you're robbing them. When a Guard/Resident is being stubborn sitting next to the marked object you need, just light one of these and toss it and hope to god they hear it and investigate. snap, snap, boom, boom

Ladder
Excellent for breaking windows and giving easy access to the roof if the Climbing Pickaxes didn't suite your fancy. Place this baby by a window or side and climb on up, Cops will be able to use this as well if you plan to hide on the roof. It's a wooden ladder what more do you want me to say

Tactical Banana
Unleash your inner prankster and your inner Monke and plop this baby in a walking path and let the Comedy ensue as the homeowners be slipping. Unlike the Hammer this tool can dispatch security guards unlucky enough to step on them. This is a tool best used with "We Are Number One" played in the background before taking the first step
The Approach
Not much can be categorized in this topic as your main approaches are doors, windows, and roof.

Doors
This approach is more direct and straight forward but may not always provide a means to get in as doors can be locked forcing you to take another approach. This can easily be bypassed using a Wrench as you'll send the door flying as if Big Bird kicked it in so they pose no threat if you or someone else is carrying a wrench.

Windows
Hate em, 90% of the time these suckers will be locked, only windows that will open are the body sized ones or the attic window which from my experience will always be open to get into 9/10 times. the biggest threat on the framed windows is that its next to impossible to get something outside them (Non-VR) as even trying to push a small safe through the window is a bit of a challenge in of its own.

Roof
Probably one of my favorite ways to get into the house as the bedrooms upstairs will usually house some goodies or a marked item, highly recommend scurrying up to the roof and getting in that way and in the event you find a silver key then the doors will no longer be an issue
The Getaway
Can't say too much about the getaway vehicles other than that you can place more stuff in them the bigger vehicle you have as well as bring along more items with you. Every vehicle has a weight limit attached to it so unlike the beta when you could steal a whole trailer on a little bicycle you'll have to be mindful on what you can and cant grab.
The Bicycle while being the cheapest option as there's no cut to a driver as you yourself are the drive you are limited on what you can take as a safe is capable of putting you at basket capacity, same goes for the tuk tuk however it can hold more in terms of quantity and weight.
Don't let the %cut scare you as even with a tuk tuk you're more than capable of stealing the entire electronics store from the Mall if security is low (1-3)
What To Bring
Well luckily for you any equipment bought stays with you after each heist although I'm sure the devs will make it to where only items that remain in the getaway vehicle or on person is what comes back with the exception of the Silver Key since that would make doors trivial. And I'm sure an update will come that'll add Tool Durability to avoid spamming the wrench on doors and smashing everything with the hammer, or in the least have it added as a feature or included for say a hardcore heist?
To put things short just double check the heist and the goal to determine what to bring and if needed stock up on consumable items like the Air Bags and Fire Crackers to make things easier, if you see a "!" then back away as quickly as possible as a lot of good those gadgets are going to do for you when you have cops on the scene.
Helpful Tips
While I'd imagine these aren't that helpful you can still use these if you want
  • Heavy objects are dragged faster when crouched
  • Guards and Residents may relocate to a spot they heard a noise
  • If cops show up don't panic as they may not see you right away this will make the remainder of the heist harder to pull off if the bonus condition isn't met.
  • If you plan to play in VR either have the voice settings turned off or play in a quiet environment as the AI can hear you speak giving your position away.
  • Stealing one too many "Unfortunate Residents" will incur a "Black Market Oversupply" fee which will lower the value of the victim by some. While not fully tested its expected that this fee will get bigger the more you kidnap people.
End
Thank you everyone for reading this guide on a game not even 3 months old as of writing this. feel free to favorite/like this to boost it up there with the other community guides. I know I left out some stuff but I'm not going to spoil all of the games content and also that I haven't used all the equipment yet, goodbye and happy stealing everyone.
