Description
Adds a chance for pawns to gain passion on level up. For those who always sets stats multiplier for global learning factor higher and higher for every play through, this might be a really good alternative.

Requires Vanilla Skills Expanded and Harmony to work. I would also recommend my VSE Rebalance mod (listed below) and EndlessGrowth mods to be added as well, along with everything these mods might recommend. (Like unlimited for endless growth).

Pawn passions for different skills go from:
Apathy -> None -> Minor -> Major -> Natural -> Critical (Read below for balance patch)

The chance for the passion to go up decreases as the pawn's passion goes up, meaning apathy to none is easier than major to natural.

I designed this mod to work well with my other mod, VE Skill Rebalance. In short, it makes it so that the different passions' effects on learning rates is rebalanced to make it so that critical, for example, doesn't apply a harsh negative bonus on all other skills, ensuring that a pawn upgrading to critical doesn't ruin their learning rate for everything else. On the other hand, you might actually like it if a pawn upgrades to critical if you are trying to get specialised pawns for your large colony playthrough, balance is up to you.

As always, if you notice any problems with the mod, make sure to leave a comment and I will try to make a patch for it.

Massive thank you's to PeteTimesSix and Legodude for helping me make the final touches to the mod, without them this mod wouldn't have been possible.

Hey! There are other mods you can use to set things like that. Also, for any inquiry and suggestion, you are better off asking the active maintainer which is the comment right below yours, I haven't written mods in a while.

Pardon me sir but would it be possible to have a minimum skill level for passion loss to occur?

I find that a 20 skill pawn is quite prone to dipping down to 19 before recovering and I'd rather they didn't risk losing passion for their work till they've dropped considerably further.

Is an update for 1.6 planned?

There is a new version of VSE with apparently a new ID. Could you fix this up to make the mod manager smile again? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3400246558

Could you add an option in "mod options" to "reset to default"?

You know what? Understandable.
Thanks for the mod, and hope your life goes great homie :happyio:

Because changing the about.xml means I need to install the game, install my mod, change 1 line in the code, push it on GitHub, go in game, update my steam workshop mod and edit the patches here. I simply don't want to invest my 30 minutes into that, purely out of laziness. If I come back to the game, I'll download it and do just that.

if it's working in 1.5, why Author don't change about.xml to stop incompatibility warning? lol
