What you need to make.
AutoexecGame2.con exactly. But we don't have this one and you need to create it. Go to your game folder and create the 'Parameters' folder, then make a 'AutoexecGame2.con' file and write this inside:

Engine.TShadows 0
Engine.Shadows 0
Engine.UseStencilShadows 0
Engine.TrueWaterRef 1
Engine.WaterReflections 1
Engine.DisableCloth 0
Engine.DSystemActive 0
Engine.GFadeFar 1200
Engine.GFadeNear 600
Engine.Farplane 2400
Engine.AlphaFadeNear 2000
Engine.AlphaFadeFar 2200
Engine.LOD0 1800
Engine.LOD1 2400

This way your game will work quickly, but this guide not created to some of us. I know that lot of gamers already have a top hardware, and they need the graphical challenge. This game probably can't give it to them, but let me give you few useful comands. The value is written with a space after the command name. A value of 1 means incl., 0 - off, in some cases using other parameters.

Display.Show On/Off statistics display (default 0).

Display.FPS On/Off FPS display (default: 0).

ShowInterface Show/Hide the full interface (default is 1).

GameRate The flow rate of the game time.

Engine.AutoDOF On/Off postfilter DOF (Depth of Field), (default: 0). After switching On the background is slightly blurred, as in Gothic 3, but it will have to pay a decrease FPS.

Engine.AutoDOFTolerance Setting range of Depth of Field beginning, the possible values of 0.1 to 1.0 (default is 0.4). DOF will only work with working HDR in game.

Engine.FOV Write angle 2 times lower than desired. For example if you need to 180°, place a value of 90.

Engine.GFadeFar Distance of poor quality grass drawing. The value must be higher than the Engine.GFadeNear parameter.

Engine.GFadeNear Distance of grass quality drawing. Possible values - from 0. o graphics card limit.

Engine.Farplane The total drawing range (value above makes game beautiful). Possible values - from 500 (below doesn't make sense) to graphics card limit.

Engine.AlphaFadeFar Drawing distance of nice-resolution landscape texture. The higher number - better graphics of far landscape. The value of this parameter must be highter than Engine.AlphaFadeNear.

Engine.AlphaFadeNear Landscape high-resolution textures drawing distance. The higher value - the better graphics. Possible values - from 300 (below doesn't make sense) to graphics card limit, but this value should be lower than Engine.Farplane, otherwise they will be lost terrain texture.

Engine.LOD0 The level of near area detail, value above - better graphics.

Engine.LOD1 The level of far terrain detail, value above - better graphics. This value should be higher than Engine.LOD0, otherwise the trees will disappear foliage.

Particles.SetMaxParticlesOnScene
Particles.SetMaxParticlesOnSceneHigh
Particles.SetMaxParticlesOnSceneLow
These three parameters control the particle system. Possible values - from 0 to graphics card limit.

Engine.UseDynamicLighting On/Off dynamic lighting (default is 1).

Engine.UseVIS On/Off vertical sync.

Engine.DrawReflectedObjects By disabling this option, you remove the effect of light reflection from some objects (default is 1).

Engine.TreeWindFactor When ption turned off, the trees will not sway on wind.

Engine.GrassRandomizer This parameter affects the quality of grass (default is 1).

Engine.GrassDisp This parameter affects the grass location, when disconnecting will be place grass "on the grid", which is unnatural (default is 1).

interface.Camera.RotateUnderDialogSpeed Parameter controls the speed of the camera in dialogue scenes. 0 - the camera is stationary.

Also you can change this parameters during the game, just write them in game console.

Guys,
Don't let him to fool you.
He used the Two Worlds Control Panel software. He downloaded from Nexus or from another site.
The Two Worlds Control Panel generate the file mentioned above. You should have two AutoexecGame2.con files, once you started to use the TWCP software, one is a CON file, the other one is a simple text file you can open in WordPad/Notepad, etc.

All the values he wrote above, he just copied from The Two Worlds Control Panel too, since that software generate exactly these same values.
I guess, he thought he looks smart, if he doesn't write here the source for you of "his" optimising... xd

If the game is changing the contents of the file, try making it read-only.

Try start new game, game will create this file. Or, idk, check files via steam panel.

how to create AutoexecGame2.con file?
AidenDemon  [author] 26 Dec, 2021 @ 11:49pm
Wow, that's scare me now cuz I've planned to play game in the future. In my experience I've just activated all commands in game console and that was enough.

I know almost nobody plays anymore but i have been having trouble getting these settings to stay. I downloaded the control panel to create the .con file, and modified the file... but i'm noticing certain settings don't change anything. Like Engine.GFadeFar only seems to change when done in console, but it only works for current game session. The .con file just refuses to actually modify that setting for me, as well as others. Any help or insight?

"Two Worlds Control Panel" creates the .con file and has the most tweaks documented and easily configurable.

The reason it doesn't work for you guys is that you have to have there an actuall .con file. I just downloaded mine and now every command works. I would like to know how to create such files though, as just by making redme file with .con at the end doesn't do the trick on win10.

just to say this worked for me in TW1 (by creating file beforehand rather than using console)

thanks :-)
