Nyanpuppu is the name used as a nickname for the emoji "Blobcat" in Misskey.io, an instance of "Misskey", the distributed platform for microblogging.

These funny little creatures can't consume live plants and they aren't considered predators, which means that not long after they appear they simply leave the map due to malnutrition.
