Description
Mod Version 2.14, for Stellaris v3.12.5

This mod began with the motivation to change menacing ships associated with the "Become the Crisis" ascension perk to use the empire's cultural ship designs, but it has now expanded in scope to contain a variety of ship-related gameplay adjustments and fixes.

- Modifies menacing ships so they use the empire's cultural ship models.
- As a result, also adds some extra component combination options for menacing ships.
- Adds carrier-themed sections for Titans.
- Adds a "menacing" version of frigates and battleships.
- Adds picket ship computer to battleships, and corrects some missing ship computers on other ship sizes.
- Adds Artillery combat computers on Nanite Swarmers.
- Reduced cost of upgrading ships with very minor design changes.
- Fixes high-tier cloaking field generators not being defined as an upgrade (they still will not auto-upgrade in practice, due to hard-coded issues).
- Revised most event-spawned ships to allow merging/adding ships, upgrading, and assigning admirals. These ships will now use naval capacity, and several will be able to drop debris where previously disabled.
- Adds gov't policies for selecting default fleet stances for bombardment and aggressiveness.
- Revised the 5-year Nanite Harvester event such that it spawns all ships condensed into full fleets, rather than a bunch of separate ones.
- Adds a policy to select whether you want your 5-year nanite yields in the form of nanites (resources, the new default), swarmer ships (the original), or interdictor ships.
- Balanced the weapon slots on the Nanite Interdictor ship, revised from one section to three for more design flexibility, and revised to use a cooler ship mesh to differentiate from the swarmers (one of cetana's fleet ship models).

NOTE:
As a result of some of the changes made to menacing ship templates, this mod should only be used on a fresh file. Adding or removing this mod on an in-progress save file is likely to result in some instability.

All mods in this collection are designed with modularity in mind, so you can pick and choose to use the components you like, and ignore the ones you don't. None of these mods depend on one another, compatibility with each other is guaranteed, and load order within the collection does not matter.

Hey, is there a version of this that only adjusts the skins for menacing ships? As much as the other tweaks sound good, i'm stuck well into a 7000 system game & want to avoid instability, whilst still hoping to avoid throwing up everytime I see my starbases popping out menacing corvettes... :'(

@Everbane Yeah I have no doubt that that's true, the mod is out of date right now and needs to be updated when their patch cycle settles down.

I think this mod may be removing thruster components from cloned space fauna. debugged my load order and turning this one off seemed to fix the problem.

emmm, sections of crisis cruiser (original edition Imperial shipset) seem a bit far apart.

It does seem to work fine, outside that hiccup, which was pretty minor.

Yes, I should probably note that this mod in particular is unlikely to be compatible with existing save files (at least after certain milestones have been reached) due to the way it removes and replaces some of the structure for menacing ships. It is really only safe to use if the mod was applied from the start at galaxy gen, or at least before any empire has taken the "Become the Crisis" ascension path. Also it hasn't yet been updated for version 3.9, so some issues are expected. I plan to try to get them all updated in the next couple of weeks - until then, I apologize for any inconvenience.
