Dale Earnhardt's 1992 Chevrolet Lumina Stock Car

Undoubtibly one of his worst seasons, This car was sleek, fast, and built for speed
Ralph Dale Earnhardt Sr, was born on April 29th, 1951 in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Dale was born in a racing family, his father raced at dirt tracks around North Carolina, and Dale looked up to him. Ralph did not want him to follow him in his footsteps, instead, he wanted Dale to become a businessman. Dale did not listen, at 16 he dropped out of high school and started racing around local dirt tracks in his famous pink ford coupe with the number; K-2, in black, painted onto the door.
Around 1970, Ralph died of a heartattack in the kitchen of the Earnhardt home, it was a horrible loss. But by 1979 he was racing in NASCAR's top division, in the #2 Wrangler Jeans machine, for Rod Osterlund, Osterlund sold the team and his new team owner, fired everyone on the team, and his crew chief was named... Boobie Harrington, and Dale HATED it. He quit the the and was a free agent and a one-time champion.
Richard Childress and Earnhardt would join forces as Dale would drive the flagship #3 for him. And win 6 more titles before he ever won the Daytona 500.
Dale has been driving an amazing car all week...
But as he says it. "20 YEARS OF TRYING, 20 YEARS OF FRUSTRATION! DALE EARNHARDT WILL COME TO THE CHECKERED FLAG AND WIN THE DAYTONA 500!!". Pretty cool, eh?

Feburary 18th, 2001 - DAYTONA INTL. SPEEDWAY;

On the 2001 Daytona 500, Dale would tragically pass away in a crash in a 90-degree angle or so into the wall, also being hit by Ken Schrader, and was the day his driver, Michael Waltrip won his first race, after 20 years.
