The dogs you need to chose at the beginning are: Finn, Barkley, Noodle and, Gale. So depending on how lucky you are this may be easier or harder. What you need to do is a bit cruel but when it comes to story events you need to do everything to avoid them. If Finn smells something ignore it. If noodle finds the trapped wolf leave it. However its not as easy for Gale and Barkley. If Gale finds a porcupine you cant prevent it but if your lucky you'll start Barkley's story. Now unfortunately once Barkley gets injured you cannot heal him because if you do you'll complete his story. If you keep him injured it will take longer to get to the cabin but once you arrive you will have completed no stories. If you complete no story's it will leave all dogs open for every possible outcome for story events. Meaning you have more opportunity to get journal entry's.
