How to capture a disabled ship

This is a guide on how to capture a diabled ship, increasing your fleet size

How to do
  • 1. Park your main ship close to the ship you disabled
  • 2. Press the small button on top of the eye icon.
  • 3. Press the transfer crew to the ship menu.
  • 4. Transfer some crew.

* You might need to fix some parts on the new ship (or the whole ship) before it can fly and your crew can man the stations on board.

You can now choose the new ship or both ships and fly them.

You can also capture stations if you are lucky and they still have functional airlocks. Including some which are bigger than the normal building size, meaning, while you can repair them to their original design, you can't edit since it doesn't fit the grid.

This is helpful for efficiency of reasorces. ps. you can't take a ship unless it has an airlock, and crew space

It's cool for RP but since you get 100% salvage (at least on normal difficulty) when having your crew dismantle things it's usually better to build a whole new ship.

Not unnecessary if you prefer a pirate rp. i liked to disabel the ships and cannibalize them into my fleet.

This is unnecessary any more, since the "New Ship" button has been implemented, meaning you can now just make one from scratch.
