Propulsion

To start: Throttle to 0.3 or higher. Gears off. Press and hold start by gear switches until RPS 6+ RPS.

Once started use the gears for getting the right performance. Fuel and heat efficient is at 7 RPS. Speed may be desired.

Main propulsion output
(A – means alpha gear off, A + on, and B is for the Beta gear)
High speed A- B+ Throttle 100% 31 m/s 60 knots 230km (woobly).
Higher speeds unstable, Avoid 45 m/s.
Fast cruise A+ B+ T 100% 16 m/s 31 knots 230 km.
Long smoke free A+ B+ T 78% 12.5 m/s 24 knots 350 km.

Precision propulsion by electrics for precise movements in dangerous area or on a rescue scene. Increased forward electric output as a secondary means of propulsion ~ 7 m/s 13.6 knots. Electrics do drain battery noticeable. A few km only is possible. To recover run engine in generator only mode or run auxiliary generator.

Clyde river

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clyde_River_(Baffin_Island)

Clyde River is a waterway on the eastern coast of Baffin Island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. The river outflows from Generator Lake at the southeastern end of Barnes Ice Cap in the Baffin Mountains. It flows in a roughly northeastern direction before reaching the head of Clyde Fiord in Kangiqtugaapik, Baffin Bay.

Flickering on game load?

I’ve traced this to a base game issue with the “physics sensor” block. A bug report has been sent. Pending them fixing it a work around has been found. A circuit breaker is now provided just for the physics sensor. There are a few steps needed.

On game load if flickering controls:
= Go to engine room for under stairs and by stairs circuit breakers
= turn off auxiliary generator if on (and/or disconnect from other power grids)
= turn off physics sensor circuit breaker
= turn off other circuit breakers
= go to pilot seat
= drain residual electrical power by running electric propellers forward and back
= once switches drain of power the flickering stops
= go back to engine room
= turn breakers back on
= turn physics sensor’s circuit breaker back on

If the pilot map isnt showing the right location you forgot to turn the physics sensor circuit breaker back on

Working on the low fuel pressure on low fuel level issue. Got some advise on what causes it. Working on a fix.
Brygun  [author] 14 Apr @ 10:02pm
Among recent updates slightly expanded fuel tanks which brings it back to spawning ~41,000 liters of fuel. The gas update made tanks would spawn partially filled with air. This restores the original level.

The mast is now jumpable!
On large docks you can use precision mode to slide next to the tall dock. Go to the high roof, jump onto the mast, jump higher up the mast, then run along the spars and jump onto the tall dock sides. Then jump up the rest of the way.

2025 04 11 Update
Added belly wings for higher speed and/or range. Now stable past 60 knots! 32 m/s!
Air conditioning cooling for main crew area.
Now enclosed notch between bridge and engineering to make an air-heat-water lock.
and other updates

Note the thumbnail pic still shows the open mid deck of the original Clyde.

Happy to see she crossed the 2,000 subs!

The autopilot is a heading hold function.
The map waypoint is a display only function.
Looking at the map turn the boat until it is heading in about that direciton.
Turn on the heading hold autopilot.

In game play I found that you should keep some alertness for loot crates or collision risks from AI craft. You can step away from the bridge for a time but should come check things regularly. In real world multi-crew vehicles there should always be at least person "on watch".

not sure how to autopilot to the waypoint set on the keypad.

@ruben2a833

Those are "normal" arctic waves. Sail north my good man. Sail north.

When the winds pick up to orange-red and you are far from the southern shores that is just another day at sea.
