All Areas
By fnzombies
All "areas" to visit in the really-not-all-that-similar-to-Spore, actually chaotic and filled with drama despite its goofy appearance, game Creature Creator!

Yet Another Changelog (qileonmo)
Why is everybody putting changelogs or other ways to tell you what the most recent update to their guide is? No idea.

9/8/24 (most recent update)
Changed a bit of text, not much

8/5/24
Changed the general idea of this section from showing only the most recent update to showing all past updates
Changed all the images to more recent ones, featuring a new character of mine who I am totally not obsessed with
(This also decreased the amount of characters each image takes up by a L O T, meaning I have much more room to work with if I ever need it)

8/1/24
Removed "Creatures" section
Changed the description for all areas except the ones on the Cave map
Moved the Wind Farm and Forest to a new "Removed Areas" section
Changed the guide description and "What are Areas?" section a little bit
What are Areas?
H e l l o .

"Areas" are certain places in maps that have a little pop-up message whenever you enter them, as seen in this guide's thumbnail. I have no idea what the pop-up notification things or Areas are officially called, if they're even officially called anything, so let's just say that what I call them is right

This guide, for now, will be... kind of boring (for me, at least), considering that THREE of the five maps in this game have no Areas whatsoever, and one of the two that does has an incredible... two Areas. Like, 80% of this guide will be about the Farm map lol-

help when i spend too long looking at this guide the word "area" doesn't even look like a word anymore
Farm
The Farm is basically the "hub" of Creature Creator, with a way to teleport to every other map, and also containing most of the parts and patterns in the game. Being so big, it also contains the most Areas.

Playground
Despite what its appearance and name might suggest, the Playground is actually quite a boring Area.
It contains the teleport to the Sandbox map. It's located fairly close to a few other editpads, but doesn't have an actual editpad located right outside of it like some other Areas.

Farmhouse
Some houses guarded by a pair of dogs. You can actually glitch inside the buildings if you sprint into them fast enough.
Just outside the gate is an editpad so you can get to the good stuff quickly.

Crops
A large, mostly empty part of the map. Plenty of fields for crops to grow, but none currently growing.
If I remember correctly, there were actually crops here at a point long, long ago, before even I started playing, but were removed due to causing lag. Daniel should re-add them-

Market
Located between the Crops and the Ranch. Don't be fooled by all the fruits and vegetables here! They are purely decorative and can't be eaten except the apples and meat chunks.
There's also an editing pad here.

Ranch
A large Area full of NPCs to kill hang out with.
It consists of two "sections": the barn section, which contains a barn that's almost completely dark inside and can be difficult for larger creatures to enter, and the field section, which contains one of the Farm map's battle arenas.

Concert
Added in version 1.1.27. I consider it "new", even though it's well over a year old now. I guess my definition of "new" in this game is just "not there when I first started playing".
Its sole purpose is to host the Built Battle minigame.

Cabin
What this Area lacks in size, it makes up for in things to do, with a trampoline and a whole forest around it to explore.
In earlier versions, it was called Cabin in the Woods. There's also an editing pad next to it.

Orchard
An Area for any and all fruit-related purposes. Planning to fight over fruit in Fruit Fight? Go to the Orchard! Just hungry? Go to the Orchard! Searching for the O R A N G ? Go to the Orchard
There's also an editing pad here.

Beach
A beach.
It contains the teleport to the Island map. There's also an editing pad here.

Island Lake
An island in the middle of a lake. A nice place to chill.
There's also an editing pad here.

Summit
The highest point in the Farm. Another good place to chill.
There's also an editing pad here.

Cave
Unless you're afraid of the dark and/or spiders, you can't really disagree when somebody says that the Cave is AWESOME. It's pitch black in there, so without glowing parts or the Night Vision ability, you literally cannot see anything.
Deeper in the cave is where all the fun is. Rock platforms you can hop between! Glowing crystals! A teleport to another map!

Racetrack
The Racetrack has the same problem as the Concert: it doesn't belong in a farm. But this is a game where colorful, dancing, fire-breathing dinosaur-bugs roam freely alongside ordinary animals, after all. In CC, stuff not making sense... makes sense.
If a Race is in progress, you will be unable to teleport to the editpad here, as you will just be sent to the seats to watch. If you want to use that editpad, you must walk over there yourself.

Wishing Well
The smallest of the Areas. I sometimes forget it even exists.
The only thing that makes it even slightly memorable is a quest in Adventure Mode.

Waterfall
A small Area located near the Summit and Cave.
There are a few parts hidden back there, because what's the point of having a waterfall in a video game if there isn't any treasure behind it? There's also an editing pad nearby, and even an entrance to the void here.

Campsite
Located right in the middle of the map, it's a nice place to hang out with friends. Or spam-die in the fire pit if that's your kind of thing.
It contains the key needed to complete the "Locked Chest" quest. There's also an editing pad here.

Ruins
Despite the name, this isn't some mysterious ancient ruins, but rather, a patch of dirt with a treasure chest. Was it really necessary to make this an Area?
It's where the "Locked Chest" quest is located.

Apiary
Just a bunch of beehives.
If you get too close, your health will be RAPIDLY drained by the bees. How can a few nearly microscopic specks kill a giant robot with flamethrowers for hands in a matter of seconds??

Reservoirs
Possibly the most forgettable of the Areas. Like, why is this even an Area...?
Cave
Despite being a very large map, the Cave only has two Areas as of now.

Aqua de Vida
A pool of water that heals you when you go into it. Unless you can't swim, then you will just cease to exist. Right next to the pool for some reason are barrels of toxic waste. That explains the weird mutated horrors wandering around the world I guess? If you push a barrel into the pool, it poisons it, resulting in it damaging you rather than healing you.
If a creatures dies in the pool due to the acid, its parts literally detach from its body and start floating around. Forget the workshop, friends system or stacking, this is the best feature in the game:
Soup!
In 1.1.27, this Area was renamed to "Healing Water" but was changed back the next update.

Mineshaft
The Mineshaft contains quite a lot of stuff for how small it is.
Don't ask why Caramel is in the void
It contains a battle arena and quest, and even the entry point to the City map.
Removed Areas
This section wasn't really added to list all the removed Areas (considering that there are only two and that it has been that way for a very, very long time), it was added because the character limit sucks so I had to remove them from the Farm section and make a new section for them.

But if any other Areas happen to get removed... to this section they go! [incomprehensible machine noises]

Wind Farm
An Area that once was visitable, but was removed for some unknown reason back in the version 1.1.27. If you want to see it for yourself, go to the Ranch and look at all those windmills in the distance. That is the land that was once the Wind Farm. Nowadays, it can no longer be visited by regular means due to the invisible barrier surrounding the world. Only the Voiders, those who know how to escape the boundaries and explore places others cannot, are capable of visiting this forgotten land. ...THIS IS A BORING PART OF A MAP THAT CAN'T EVEN BE ACCESSED WITHOUT GLITCHES IN A GAME ABOUT MAKING SILLY CREATURES AND EXPLORING THE WORLD WITH THEM, WHY AM I MAKING IT SOUND SO EPIC?!

Forest
Unlike the Wind Farm, the Forest can still be visited, though I still consider it removed since it has been downgraded from a true Area to a place that just... exists, no longer giving a pop-up notification thing when you enter the forest. In earlier versions, snakes could be encountered here, but they were removed for some reason, and now snakes are locked to the Island and one of the Farm's battle arenas. No, you don't get an epic description for this one, it's literally just a forest.

the place behind the waterfall allows you to voidclip
not "small and forgettable" to me!
