Introduction
Well, I don't think many players still play this game today, but I decided to leave this.

Have you ever experienced the weird issue that your spotter goes missing after the pit or random moment?
I think many innocent drivers had suffered this before.
(I'll refer it as "issue" in this guide.)

However, I found a simple trick that fix this issue.
In this guide, I'll show you how it's done.
0. How this happens
Basically, this issue occurs if your audio device isn't Stereo.

To check if your device is stereo:
  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click Hardware and Sound.
  3. Click Sound.
  4. Now, find your device and right click it, then click Speaker Setting.

Here you can check your device's audio channel.
If your device supports Stereo, change it to the Stereo and you should be good to go.

My headset only have 7.1 Surround channel, which causes issue.
If yours doesn't have Stereo channel like mine, or still causes issue, go to next section.
1. Install VB-Audio Virtual Cable
Speaker doesn't have Stereo audio channel? Then, trick NASCAR '15 to think that we're using Stereo device!
To do this magic, VB-Audio Virtual Cable will do the trick.

You can download VB-Audio Virtual Cable from https://vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm.

Once it's downloaded, extract the zip file and open VBCABLE_Setup.exe as admin (Right click > Run as administrator) and click Install Driver.

Don't forget to restart your PC after the installation!
2. Change audio settings
This section is kinda complicated. Follow the tutorial carefully.

First, open sound setting in Control Panel.
(Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound)

Then, in Play tab, right click Speaker (VB-Virtual Cable) and click Speaker Setting.
Stereo should be selected by default, but in case it's different, change it to Stereo.

Also, set Speaker (VB-Virtual Cable) as a default device if something else is chosen as it.
(This is also should be done by default, but make sure to check it, just in case.)

After that, go to Record tab, right click CABLE output and click Properties.
(You don't have to set it as default device here.)

Once properties show up, go to Listen tab.

Here, click Listen to this device checkbox to make it checked, and in Playback through this device setting, choose your device here.
You should be able to hear audio from your speaker if done correctly.

Now, it's all done, and you're ready to go!
Conclusion
I hope this guide helped you fixing the issue.
If it's not fixed yet, make sure to double check if Speaker (VB-Virtual Cable) is chosen as default device.
In case this still doesn't work, let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading and happy racing, boys and girls!

I know im a little late but good job with the guide. Unfortunately it did not work for me. Do you or anyone else have any more potential solutions to try and fix this issue?

This was a really nice guide to follow, I was struggling with the spotter only working for part of the game and then just disappearing and leaving me with nothing but the engine sounds. Thank you for this guide. (Also it was really helpful that we had the exact same headset so I knew it would work.)
