UNOFFICIAL Sinews of War Compatch (1.10 Quill)

Description
Unofficial fan update to make Sinews of War playable with the current version, until the dev team is able to pick things up again. This will still need the original mod to be installed, and needs to be below the original mod in your load order.

I did this for myself because I wanted to keep playing with Sinews' various systems but the mod hasn't been updated since before 1.9, and I'm sharing my work with the community because I figure I'm not alone! That said, I have zero desire to take over the mod or add new features, and will happily remove this upload upon the proverbial Return of the King.

A couple of notes:

-I've focused on getting the mod playable and haven't done a balance pass on the building rework or on new features yet. This means, mostly:

-Where Sinews gave a building a non-MAA bonus I have mostly left it as it was. Bonuses that existed before 1.9 but were removed in Sinews have mostly stayed gone. Bonuses added for new mechanics in recent versions (eg, travel danger) and the general cost increase in 1.10 have been included.

-Where a Sinews building had an MAA bonus I have replaced it with the vanilla values for a stationed MAA bonus. If those values were calculated from a base value that Sinews changed, then the values may be different from vanilla.

-the various accolades that add X to the size cap of MaA regiments have not (yet) been nerfed like those types of bonuses have historically been, but I'm likely to do so before too long.

-aside from that or other straightforward changes in line with the existing design, I'm not likely to add new mechanics or otherwise do much more than keep things compatible.

-there are probably some GUI issues I missed: GUI modding is my weakest area and I didn't prioritise it. In particular, I know:

-the breakdown tooltips for Imperial Decay and Vigor are currently disabled until I can figure out why they are crashing the game on startup
-the text on the Trade tab on Struggle Involvement is misaligned
-the icons for winter, terrain, and stationed MAA in the county view are probably not in the best place.

Otherwise, though, I hope you all enjoy playing again! I'll be taking some time to actually play for the first time in 4+ months, but I'll keep an eye out for feedback on any bugs I missed!

Hello I have made an update for 1.11 (for absolutely the same reason :D) {LINK REMOVED}

I have uploaded it personally but if you want, you could simply replace yours (would be easier for user to to have to change).

There is a few thing I couldn't fix properly and there is still many thing to update in depth, if you are interested in working together contact me.

I haven't had as much time to update this as I wanted due to an unexpected bout with COVID just after Peacock dropped. :( That's about the list of things I thought I would have to fix, but I'll try and get to them before the holidays.

Oh and the struggle features from Iberia, and Iran and the Trade Struggle seem not to work either. If you dont mind ignoring these features then I guess its fine.

@Andy's Take I tested it with many of my usual mods. Sinew now works, but some features from Vanilla won't appear properly. Things like Tax jurisdiction icon will be greyed out so you cant access it, Appoint Vizier option won't appear either, basically it mainly affects Gui and icon being misplaced or not appear. The New legacy of Persia clan dynasty status window, wont appear either.

I guess if you are playing as norse character or non arabic/muslim you can have a good playthrough. That's what Im doing currently. Norse then Norman probably. So far, no issues.
