Description
This mod adds some new and very vanilla friendly mechanoids to the game:

Toxic centipede:
a version of the centipede burner that has a toxic blast cannon instead, the tox cannon shoots a blast of explosive tox gas that lingers in the area for about a minute, poisoning anyone who does not have total anti toxic genes.
This centipede is very strong indoors making them great to have for raiding enemy bases or flushing out enemies trying to raid your base.

Toxic Pikeman:
this pikeman is almost exactly like a regular pikeman but with a toxic needle gun instead, this gun does slightly less physical damage and toxic damage to anyone it hits, all of its stats or exactly the same as a normal pikeman otherwise.

Infector:
The Infector is a modified scorcher that shoots 2 toxic gas grenades unlike their scorcher cousins, they have weak projector shield's as well, however since they have a shield their health pool is a little lower then a scorcher's

These mechanoids are very similar to base game mechanoids so they shouldn't feel overpowered in anyway, all of them rely on tox damage types to hurt enemies, so don't expect them to be able to hold off on front line on their own, they make for great support mechs for colonies of wasters xenotypes or others who have total anti-toxic lungs.

Compatabilities/Incompatabilities:
  • Multiplayer compatible: 100% multiplayer ready. Multiplayer/coop is my highest priority in all mods and games I plan to create, now and forever. this mod only brings xml and a handful of its own images to rimworld, none of it should be the cause of a desync in rimworlds multiplayer mod made by Zetrith.

  • combat extended: I do not use this mod, or know anything about it, If there is a problem with it, please let me know, if its beyond my knowledge I probably won't be able to do anything about it for the time being. I will look into it as needed as I continue to learn rim world modding.

  • Giddyup: this... should work? I have not tested it but if it works biotech mechanoids I imagine it will work with these guys.

  • What the hack!?: This one should work as well, although be careful with attempting to hack them in a closed room, failing to hack them sometimes results in them firing their weapon, the gas from these mechanoids condenses hard indoors so it may be deadly if you are not careful!

Trivia / Hints / Other info

  • Infectors have a shield, the shield is weak and it won't protect from melee attacks, but they can block intercepting projectiles for adjacent pawns, I also made a tweak and made their shields green.

  • I drew the tox centipede myself, I'm not an artist but I gave them a gas-mask like face.

  • Rim world mechanoids change textures when their age hits 100, these guys follow that same logic, However I made them more worn down, and I also made the Tox centipede's allegiance paint job faded, so if you ever somehow keep one around for 100 years in game, you'll get to experience the faded paint.

  • any mechanoid raids you encounter can and will have these guys with them sometimes, consider recruiting wasters or other mechanoids to combat them only the toxic pikeman can do damage to them.

This is my first rimworld mod, I plan to make many many mods for rimworld so tell me what I can improve on!

Give it a try with Combat extended, I don't use combat extended so I don't actually know what it entails, I'm more of a multiplayer person, so the biggest guarantee i have is that it works in multiplayer, all of my mods, and games I ever decide to create will have multiplayer / coop related things in them.

@hYPERION thank you! The gas mask was very last minute tbh, i almost uploaded it but delayed it a bit longer when i realized i could try a simple face plate design, wait till you see the cryo centipedes mask! The video is a little out of date for the cryos i teased in it.

Logical that highly-polluting, humanoid-hating mechs would get in on tox munitions. (Or that the ancient creators wouldn't mind a few war crimes.) Good addition.
