House of Creep - Blackout

Beskrivning
This mod is a fanmade continuation and finale of the House of Creep series, taking place after the events of House of Creep 11.

You wake up in a familiar house from the beginning of your journey. However, by the looks of it, it is more abandoned and decrepit. A thick fog in the area is obscuring your vision, making almost everything harder to see, only to reveal a new path forward. Something feels off, and you can't shake the thought of your impending fate coming closer by the minute..

Special thanks to Kiralmmortal!

Excellent Custom Story! Very detailed, nice use of the dark and tinderboxes, and the moments of suspense when a monster appears it's very well achieved

I found out that you have to throw a rock at one of the levers in the control room to move forward.

In the control room in the catacombs where you have to go through the grate there is an invisible wall. Right next to the green glowing spot.

(3/3) I honestly couldn't possibly be happier with this story, it is absolutely everything I could have possibly asked for and a million times more, it captures the same essence as playing the original House of Creep for the first time as a child, it pays homage to it, and it upgrades it significantly, it really feels like I'm seeing Amnesia for the first time again, it recaptures those feeling of wonder and horror that you only truly feel when you're young and exposed to something for the first time.

So thank you, Wrecx, thank you so much for making this, you made true art out of some kid's hobby project, you genuinely put a smile on my face, and scared me multiple times.

(2/3) But still, I can't quite describe exactly how the original HoC makes me feel, it's like a constant contradiction: it's both well made and yet parts of it look like a 12 year old could've done better, it seems to have no story at all and then it turns into this several story long epic about nothing at all.

Yet you can still see how whoever was making these put genuine soul and a bit of love into every story, there was genuine love in there, and the people who continued the series after its original creator ended it clearly also had a lot of soul.

And then we reach 2023, where you come out of absolutely nowhere with what is possibly one of the best custom stories I've ever played, with genuine love and passion, genuinely good scripting and amazing level design, and I'm just stunned. This ALL started because one argentine kid decided to make a funny mod for the spooky game now 11 years ago, it's genuinely astonishing.

(1/3) God, House of Creep, what a series.

I remember way back when the first one was released, saw the god of spanish-speaking youtube, Fernanfloo, play it. It was the first and only time he played Amnesia, but it made me fall in love with it, instantly, hell, the moment I got the game the first thing I did was look for it on ModDB, and it felt so weird, but also so rewarding, like I'd finally achieved something that I never could have done as a child.

It's honestly hard to think that, in another universe, this series that marked my childhood and singlehandedly sold me on Amnesia could have easily become lost media, if one guy hadn't reuploaded it, I and millions of other people wouldn't've ever been able to play it.

In a sense YouTube disabling adblockers may be bittersweet as now people actually have to play the mods as intended without having a walkthrough video holding their hand.
