Go South from the starting room to select a level.
Avoid enemies when possible. Hold ALT to sprint.
Save when possible.

Instead of pressing Spacebar fast manually, an AHK script can be used to make battles easier.
You'll need the program AHK v1.1 from https://www.autohotkey.com/
And make a script with the following:

Go North then East and take the item. Go West twice and go down the well.
Select these Symbols in order:
Key
Time
End
Tree
False Lambda
Continuation
Go East and South to heal at the save point.
Go North twice, through the lock and fight the boss.

Go North twice, then East twice.
You have 4 attempts to guess the code. Go West 3 times and talk to the NPC
Go South, then go South three more times.
Go North twice, then West twice and take the item. Go South to heal, then North 4 times and fight the boss.

Go East 3 times, South, then West twice.
Interact with the NPC. Go East twice, North, then East again.
Fight the boss (guaranteed loss). Go back to level 3 and fight the boss again (all the way west). Go back to level 3 and go East, North, and East twice.
Take the item. Go West twice, South, then all the way East to fight the boss.

Go West twice, then South twice and talk to the NPC.
Re-enter this room until the item appears, take it and talk to the NPC. Go North twice, East 4 times, then South twice.
Talk to the NPC and wait on the second page. Go North twice, West twice, North twice, then East twice.
Press Next 6 times. Go West 3 times and fight the boss.

Wait on the starting tile.
Go North and fight the boss. Continue North if you want to see the credits.
