Please be honest and use this ONLY if you are sure you did everything as it should be done but achievement did not unlock for you. Achievements are meant to be earned - but they are also supposed to work properly. And this one does not. It obviously does not unlock if you do not get it on your first playthrough.

After completing the game 6 times in a row and NOT getting this achievement, I decided to try something new. Turned off Steam cloud sync, deleted all the save files and started fresh. Completed everything (the exact same way as I did in previous tries) up to Chapter 4 and backed up the save. If it worked, I would post it here to spare everyone else from having to go through the game and waste hours for nothing.

It worked. Now all you need to do is download this save game file, extract it the right location (%Localappdata%\Detective\Saved\SaveGames) and start the game. Load and complete the very few last steps. I will not list them, if you are here - you know what to do and this guide is meant for you.

Achievement should unlock a few seconds after you exit the conversation (it did for me - I already thought I missed it again when it suddenly popped up!)

thank you so much! sadly i already wasted several hours for this achievement, but thanks to you i can finally feel like i completed this buggy, crashy, mess of a game.

I played through this game so many times, tried giving Clarissa the Renee mug, not giving the mug, all different dialogue options, followed several guides and nothing worked. Finally I tried this, I wrote on the back of the note, didn't work, deleted everything again, wrote on a blank page - also didn't work. I genuinely have no clue what to do anymore, this is so dumb.

Hey man, what guide did you use to get the achievement? It think that I have been doing everything correctly so far and I can't even get the achievement with your save files... I am struggling so much with it ;((

For people having issues with the bugged Blurb Herder achievement, the save file provided by @Atebash solved that too.

Turn off cloud sync for the game and go to %Localappdata%\Detective\Saved\SaveGames, delete everything. Just download achievements.sav and slot1.sav and paste it into your save folder. The other two files will be auto generated when you start the game.

Start the game and hit continue, go to the book stand and read the cover, middle (get the page) and back. The achievement should unlock after a few seconds.

Thank you soooooo so much! This last achievment was driving me crazy and the save files worked perfectly well :D
I only copied achievments and slot1.sav because when I copied all 4 of them I was only prompted to 'Start a New Game' and no 'Continue' showed up.
