Description

Current version: 1.3

The Incom T-65 X-wing starfighter was the primary all-purpose starfighter of the Rebel Alliance. Known for its versatility and exceptional combat performance, it was a favorite with Rebel pilots. This block kit contains all blocks necessary to build your very own X-Wing. Many blocks have custom animations and sounds, and all of them have full build stages and LoDs. I've spent a very long time working on these blocks and they assemble to probably the most accurate X-Wing replica to date, with some adjustments to make them work better in Space Engineers.

  • I have a couple more blocks planned for this mod which mainly will consist of standalone versions of the KX9 Laser Cannons, static S-Foils, as well as alternative versions of the Astromech Bay with different functionalities.
  • Balance will be shaky until I get around to finishin my next mod project, the TIE Fighter, and have balanced the two ships against each other.

Q: Can you make a version without WeaponCore / Animation Engine?
No. Both mods are integral to the functionality.

Q: Will there be a mod.io version?
No. This mod requires various scripts to work, none of which work on consoles.

Q: Can you make X Star Wars mod?
The next ship I'll be working on is the TIE Fighter. What comes after that is not set yet.

Q: Can you fix the balance of these blocks?
Balance is gonna be somewhat iffy until I finish the TIE Fighter and balance them against each other, but feedback is generally welcome.

Q: How dare you steal this mod from X!?
That's not really a question but let's address this anyway: I made all models in this mod by myself, from scratch. Other similar mods existing does not mean nobody else is allowed to make a mod like that anymore.

  • Consty - For helping me out a bunch with particle effects.
  • Digi - For providing me with a script to prevent welder damage to the player from R2.
  • Malware - For walking me through the creation of the script managing landing gear emissive states on subparts.
  • Mexpex - For hooking me up with the script to reduce the sound delay on thrusters.
  • PrimoSuperT - For allowing me to use his many amazing Star Wars builds in the screenshots.

is it possible to add a stagger fire version for the lasers? Think itd be better if it fired sequenced rather than all at once

The mod works fine, but you may have a broken download.

I suppose there was no X-wing with different colours in the original films so I guess it doesn't really matter if I can or can't
enenra  [author] 4 Feb @ 12:25pm
They can denote that, sure. And you can recolor those, but not the rest of the block.

Ah, I meant the stripes, I thought the colour denoted what squadron, ala red, blue, etc. but either way thanks for the info

I do not understand the question. They are blocks like any others and can be recolored accordingly. Though the blocks with specific stripes of color on them can only have those color stripes recolored.
