Fun Facts
Envy: If you die from Envy,the death picture is Pride.

Edmund McMillen has stated that "Envy is based on internet trolls, hence the face [...] when you attack them back they just grow in numbers."

Gluttony: Gluttony, like Vis is a reference to the Vis Sisters from Gish, one of Edmund's earlier games.

Edmund McMillen has specifically stated, on Formspring, that Gluttony is not a reference to the manga "Full Metal Alchemist" due to constant questions about it.

Greed: Greed is the shopkeeper.

When Greed hits you, he steals money.

Lust: Lust can drop The Virus upon defeat, possibly as a reference to STD's.

Lust is a female.

Pride: Pride makes both the Troll Face and the Forever Alone Face.

Pride is a drawing and could be a representation of either Isaac's and/or Edmund's pride in their art.

Sloth: If it kills you with his exploding gas balls, it will appear that a Bomb killed you

If it kills you with the sludge, it will appear that a brain killed you.

In v1.3 of Wrath of the Lamb, Sloth gained the ability to produce a trail of sludge while shooting his IPECAC. The next day in v1.33 the ability was removed.

Sloth drops Bob's Rotten Head because his name is actually Bob.

Sloth is merely a recolored Globin, (another enemy from the game) which could be a representation of being lazy/slothful.

Wrath: The way Wrath attacks, his room's layout and his appearance are references to the classic Bomberman series of games.
