Disabling the HUD and concealing weapon models
/cg_draw2d 0
/cg_drawgun 0

As you gaze upon the nostalgic and atmospheric scenes of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, you're eager to capture the beauty on your screen. However, two obstacles stand in your way: the HUD and weapon models.

To disable them, first open the console. To open the console, press the tilde (~) key:

Then, type "/cg_draw2d 0" in the console and press "Enter":

The HUD has disappeared! However, the weapon model is still there.

To hide the model, you'll need to type in "/cg_drawgun 0" into the console.

Enjoy your HUD- and weapon-free camera!

Note:
______________________

• To enable the HUD and weapon models back, type in the commands, replacing "0" with "1".

So, "/cg_draw2d 1" and "/cg_drawgun 1"
Precise camera alignment
Using the mouse to align the camera with the desired frame may not produce the desired level of precision. You may intend to adjust the camera along the vertical axis, but you might accidentally move it along the horizontal axis as well. Quiet annoying! But do not worry: there is a solution.

In the settings, you can assign keys for precise alignment transformations.

In the "Move" section, assign keys to "Turn Left" and "Turn Right" for respective horizontal movements:

In the "Look" section, assign keys to "Lookup" and "Look Down" for respective vertical movements:

In the "Look" section, assign a key to "Centerview" to allow for centering the view.

Enabling cheats
If you want more control over your camera and environment, you have to enable cheats. To enable cheats, open the console and type "/killserver":

The game will exit to the main menu, so make sure to make a save before!

Reload the save, and you will be able to use cheats!

Note:
______________________

• You only need to do it once per gaming session; there's no need to repeat the process for every save. Unless you start a new game!
Free movement in all directions - /noclip
With cheats enabled, open the console and type "/noclip". Now you are able to move freely around the world! You can fly around and even through walls!

Note:
____________________

● Noclip command also allows to avoid enemies spawning. When using noclip, you are not activating any script triggers. If you wish to take screenshots free of enemies, use noclip!
Zoom and "cockroach" perspective - /cg_fov #
With cheats enabled, open the console and type "/cg_fov #", where the "#" should be exchanged with a number. 90 is the default FOV. Values less than 90 will "zoom in" the camera, while values more than 90 will "zoom out" the camera.

Consider the following demonstration. The camera was unmoved, only the FOV was changed:

FOV 90:

FOV 45:

FOV 10:

FOV 135:

FOV 160:

FOV 160 is the maximum value. At this setting, the camera produces what I like to call a "cockroach perspective." The perspective is greatly skewed, but it can lead to interesting and dramatic results. Here are a few examples:

Jump to any map instantaneously - /spdevmap
With cheats enabled, open the console and type "/spdevmap MAPNAME", where "MAPNAME" should be replaced with the name of the desired map. Below you may find the list of names for every map in the game, but at first consider the following demonstration:

Assuming I want to jump to the Tram map, I open the console and type "/spdevmap tram":

The tram map loads and is ready to be explored!

List of maps:
Map name (type this in console) - Level title:

escape1 - Escape!

Enemies ignore you - /notarget
With cheats enabled, open the console and type "/notarget". Enemies will ignore you! Useful for taking screenshots of NPCs without disturbing their natural habitat.

Enemies can't damage you - /god
With cheats enabled, open the console and type "/god". You won't recieve any damage! Useful for taking action screenshots:
