Cossack Class Mod WOTC

Description
Minor update 3/13: Swapped Deep Cover and Lick Your Wounds; Deep Cover is a situational skill that can sometimes interfere with overwatch and as such isn't necessarily a positive for Cossack builds that do not utilize Hunker Down bonuses.

--

My second real attempt at class modding.

The Cossack is a versatile unit that draws from its frontier origins to cause or heal grievous wounds. The Cossack has three skill trees:

- Blood, which includes a few triage and disabling skills.
- Tenacity, which improves the Cossack's critical chance and damage
- Rider, which allows for greater accuracy and defense at the cost of immediate firepower

This class uses the LW2 promotion scheme (Promotions up to Brigadier, which is 1 more than vanilla), but is NOT compatible with LW2. Primary weapons include assault rifles and bullpups, secondary weapon is a pistol.

Important Notes

- This class DOES NOT have GTS skills, and as this is mostly for my own personal use I likely won't be adding them due to lack of skillset

Glad you like it MrDi! I haven't noticed any issues with this class with my setup but idk how nicely it plays with other non-required mods.

I just modded her in a shield and heavy weapon as secondary so she can have a melee attack and something to supplement an permanent T1 primary. The class looks fun i gotta try it and don't feel like a new campaign. My modded cossack will survive the invasion man!

I get a crash when trying to select a primary weapon for this class. May be conflicting with another mod like proficiency perk classes. Not sure. My cossack will just have to run the Kal-7 all day long.

Yeah, if you prefer it that way, no need to change. Congrats on the two new classes by the way!

Thanks for the tip! I kind of like how the current version looks in-game, so while I probably won't change this one I'll keep that process in mind for any future projects.

@Cruza;Complex I see that the class icon in the screenshot is darker than the preview version. If that's not intended, there is an easy fix. When you load an image into the Unreal Editor it defaults to SRGB being on, but it needs to be off for UI elements. Open the properties in Unreal, uncheck SRGB and save. It'll look really light and a little fuzzy in the editor, but perfect in game.

I'm sure as time goes by we can help you add stuff, I know nothing about modding but we all know a lot of great modders in the community.
