As I'm not the quickest at moving, searching, and clicking accurately on small objects, I was also helped by setting up a number of things in advance of actually clicking on the front door to start the timer. I opened all room doors, plus relevant cupboards, closets, toilet seats, etc. I could even prime the Happy Halloween puzzle in the playroom beforehand. I got it all correct except for the final "N". Then, after clicking on the front door, I ran back through the sewers to the playroom, so that when the timer started I could just complete that last letter and start following your guide from there! I'm not sure what the game would have done if I had fully completed Happy Halloween before starting the timer - perhaps I'll try it to find out...
