Description


What is this mod?
Idecided to upload this mod again, since I got tired of being told that it was a copy of Orbis, so I dedicated myself to modifying all the lighting using Unreal Engine 5 to get the hexadecimals of the lighting and be able to integrate them into the game.

This mod changes all lighting in the game to a photorealistic one, changes shadows, highlights, reflections, sparkles, volumetric effects, adds eye adaptation, dynamic lighting (so it will change depending on where you have the camera) adds nature effects for all kinds of battles, now you can see flies, butterflies, rainbows, falling flowers and clouds moving with their respective animation.

All trees in the game have been enlarged and their graphic quality and models have been improved. New grass has been added, which at the same time is dynamic and changes depending on the movements on the map, the density of forests and grass has been increased, the drawing distance has been improved, the trees have become more leafy, terrains, new models of stones, swamps, water with volumetric illumination and high quality terrains have been added that change and adapt depending on how high you look at it.

Changed how light affects metals so now metals like bronze will release some light, steel will release twice as much light, and both will have small reflections.

All the captures that you see above were made using only this mod, they have not been edited with any program or any type of Reshade has been used.

Unlike the Rome 2 mod, this one has a different style in both its lighting and its natural section.

The grass is different, and the lighting is not as colorful. This due to the context of the time.
Since during this period there was a small ice storm that destroyed a small part of the vegetation and created ash storms.




What changes does this modification have?

  • Personalized climates for each season of the year

  • Flowers falling in spring, polem falling in summer with heat waves, dead flowers falling in autumn (Only with Catvrix Effects Mod)

  • New trees have been added and models of old trees have been improved and enlarged.

  • New grass models have been added and the previous one has been improved to be smoother, more dynamic and cleaner. Its density has also been increased.

  • Increased the density of all forests in the game.

  • The water has been improved so that it adapts to the light and can reflect the sky, in addition to the fact that depending on where you look at it, helped by the light, you will be able to see coral reefs.

  • Changed all lighting and shadows in the game. Also its color palette and how light affects materials.

  • Nature effects have been added to battle maps, so on some you will see flies, butterflies, bees, flowers, etc. etc.

  • Changed the texture of the terrain that adapts to the distance from the camera.

  • Movement has been added to the clouds.

  • Added an "eye adaptation" effect

  • Improved how light affects gloss maps so units in the game will look much better quality without the need for other mods. (Unit mods will also be affected by this new lighting)

  • Maps can change from day to night in the middle of a battle, you can also start a battle in dry weather and it will suddenly start raining.

  • Unique animation for each type of grass and animations for trees.

  • New models for all the animals in the game, from dogs, wolves, deer, horses, and even the smallest birds.

  • The fauna of the game has been increased, so it will be more possible to see animals such as deer and wolves. In addition, new animals were added such as cows, wild boars, squirrels, mice, rabbits and some new oats.

  • Improved the dark adaptation of the camera. That is, when playing night battles, zooming out will lighten the map, but zooming in will return it to night tones.

  • Yes, it has already been tested by several people for several months, it is compatible with any mod, but you must remove terrain mods since they do not work together. This mod should go at the top of your load order.

Does this work, modify any statistics or gameplay?
  • No, all the changes are graphical, so you can be sure that the gameplay will not change, so you can combine it with the gameplay mod of your choice.
What would be the recommended load order?
  • This mod, like the others in my collection, should always go up in your load order.
Can I use your mods in my mod?

What does the name of the mod mean?

I am a Celtic pagan; Unlike my collection of mods for Rome 2, where each mod was named after a Celtic deity, in this case for Attila I chose to have the mods named after Celtic holidays.

@天使 I just used the assets here to merge with 1212ad, so my release isn't for the main attila and is missing lots of your assets (As 1212 already had more appropriate ones for the time period). Honestly, I didn't mean to offend by using these assets and made sure I had permission first, from the original mod author, who's name started with mercenary, before you took over this mod and also it says in the description that anyone can use them, on top of that I gave credits where they were due (Originally to mercenary the original creator but when you (天使) sent me angry messages, I changed the description credits to credit him as that's what he asked for instead of the original mod author.

I don't really know what else you expect Mr. 天使. All I can say is, I screenshotted all the permissions I got and so the copyright strikes being claimed all failed and that I'm sorry you're upset I guess.

@Severus Licinius Maximus If that's just occuring in the snow, I had the same issue and had to disable to the snow to get it looking decent. The mod is fantastic, don't sleep on it. Reach out on discord if you need help learning how to mess with the files. :)

Sorry for the inconvenience, but since the user tycherious has decided to take my mod without my consent (an issue that does not bother me but it seems that he wants to continue with the work) I will no longer upload updates or improvements to the mod. And the 3 new updates I had I will keep just for myself.
