It was 1916, and the Somme region in northern France bore witness to one of the most infamous battles of World War I. The once-peaceful landscape was transformed into a muddy, crater-filled expanse as the Allied and Central Powers clashed in a brutal struggle for supremacy.

Amidst the carnage, both sides sought to gain control of key strategic points along the front line. Trenches snaked through the countryside, and villages that had once been home to farmers and families were reduced to rubble. The Battle of the Somme became a relentless grind, with soldiers facing the horrors of modern warfare – barbed wire, machine guns, poison gas, and the ever-present threat of enemy artillery.


In this scenario, thousands of men died for their nation, all used to be sons of a mother, a father, and their country

Now, you're alone, trying to understand what happened to those lives mankind destroyed.
