1. Introduction
New Super Lucky's Tale is a remake of Super Lucky's Tale, so it's no surprise that the two games have a lot in common. Even the list of achievements has remained the same, except for a few ones that have been removed in the New version (they required a lot of grinding so the change is welcome, if you ask me). However, because there have been changes to the levels, the actual requirements to unlock some achievements have changed too, so I thought that it might be useful to provide an achievement guide for this New version of the game.
2. General info
Most of the game's achievements is related to specific levels, while the remaining ones are mostly related to completing the game. That's why I decided to divide the achievements into two groups:
  • Level-related achievements includes all the achievements to unlock in specific levels of the game;
  • Other achievements includes all the remaining achievements.
The game features 6 worlds: Sky Castle, Veggie Village, Wrestful Retreat, Gilly Island, Hauntingham, and Foxington. I did my best to sort the level-related achievements according to the natural progression of the adventure. Anyway, during the adventure you can always revisit previous worlds from the pause menu, so don't worry if you miss any achievement during your playthrough.
3. Level-related achievements (1/2)
A New Tale

Complete the Prologue.
This achievement is unlocked after watching the intro at the start of a new game. You can't miss it.

Black Belt

Defeat Master Mittens.
Defeat Master Mittens, the boss of Sky Castle.

Gather 'Round, Chicken

Help the Wormal farmer gather his chickens.
The achievement can be unlocked in Egg Roll, a level in Veggie Village. After the first bridge, go to the left to find a small fenced area: to unlock the achievement, you have to bring all the escaped chickens back to the pen. The chickens are all located nearby, use the tail attack to move them.

Brawn Over Brains

Defeat Tess.
Defeat Tess, the boss of Veggie Village.

Sticky Situation

Fall into a tar pit.
This achievement can be unlocked in the boss battle level against General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff in Wrestful Retreat, or in the Fluffle Shuffle level in Foxington (where a more difficult version of the same battle takes place). In both cases the arena consists of a small platform hanging on a tar pit, just fall into it and you're done.

Cannon Fodder

Defeat General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff.
Defeat General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff, the bosses of Wrestful Retreat.

...monster

Must... destroy... sandcastles!
The achievement can be unlocked in the hub area of Gilly Island. To the right of the starting point there should be a sand castle, destroy it with a tail attack to unlock the achievement. According to some users, sand castles spawn randomly, so try to reload the hub area (by exiting and entering it again) in such a case.

Cashing Out

Activate all the Cash Registers.
In the hub area of Gilly Island there are 3 cash registers, and the achievement is granted by hitting all of them. Note that each cash register drops some coins when hit, so keep hitting the cash register until they come out (to be sure you did it correctly).

Wormstock

Rescue the Soggy Boggy Boys' audience.
The achievement can be unlocked in Securing the Talent, a level in Gilly Island. It is granted by destroying all Lady Meowmalade's speakers in the level. Because destroying the speakers is required to finish the level, you can't actually miss this one.

Jump, Man!

Defeat the Yeti in Securing the Talent.
In the Securing the Talent level in Gilly Island, there's a foxhole near one of the dancing vacationers (very easy to spot): it leads to a mini-area with a yeti, resembling the old Donkey Kong games. Reach the top of the mini-area and defeat the yeti (by activating the round switch) to unlock the achievement. Going through this area is required to find one of Lady Meowmalade's speakers, so you can't miss it.

Treasure Hunter

Collect all Diamonds in Securing the Talent.
The achievement is granted by collecting the 7 diamonds (5 big and 2 small) in the Securing the Talent level in Gilly Island. Even though they're not too hard to find (except for an invisible one), below you can find some screenshots with their locations. Please note that the last image was supposed to show the invisible diamond, but I had already collected it before taking the screenshot, so... the diamond is not present in the image.

According to user reports, the diamond at the end of the yeti's mini-area is not required for the achievement. Also, losing a life while collecting the diamonds could prevent you from getting the achievement. I point out that I haven't personally verified these details, but I preferred to include them.

If There's A Place You Gotta Go...

Look at every map in Trapped in Paradise.
In the Trapped in Paradise level in Gilly Island, Lucky must open 5 umbrellas to finish the level. A map showing the umbrella locations is present nearby each umbrella, and interacting with every map will unlock the achievement.

Under My Umbrella

Complete Trapped in Paradise.
Finish the Trapped in Paradise level in Gilly Island.

Who Needs Walls?

Beat Trapped in Paradise without flipping a switch.
You must finish the Trapped in Paradise level in Gilly Island without using any switch. At first glance it may look difficult to do so, but there are many things you can take advantage of:
  • Use bouncing pads to get over walls, or jump on switches (without flipping them) as an alternative;
  • The "double jump + tail-spin" combo allows you to circumvent many external walls;
  • Lucky can walk on the top of walls.

A Sinking Feeling

Defeat General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff in Three Cannon Salute.
Defeat General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff at the end of the Three Cannon Salute level in Gilly Island.

Lucky Is My Name

Take no damage at the end of Three Cannon Salute.
The description of the achievement can be misleading. You must finish the whole Three Cannon Salute level in Gilly Island without taking any damage, not only the short boss battle against General Buttons and Lt. Fluffinstuff at the end of it.

Showstopper

Defeat Lady Meowmalade in her dance club.
Defeat Lady Meowmalade, the boss of Gilly Island.

Smooth Criminal

Defeat Lady Meowmalade without getting hit.
Defeat Lady Meowmalade, the boss of Gilly Island, without getting hit.
3. Level-related achievements (2/2)
You're A Fungi!

Solve the mushroom puzzle in Grave Awakening.
The achievement can be unlocked in Grave Awakening, a level in Hauntingham. There are 4 sleeping ghosts to awake in the level, and one of them requires to "activate" some mushrooms located in a specific area. Awakening the 4 ghosts is mandatory to finish the level, so you can't actually miss it.

The End Of A Tale

Defeat Jinx once and for all!
Defeat Jinx, the boss of Hauntingham.

A Real Hero

Watch the Credits.
After defeating Jinx, the boss of Hauntingham, keep watching the credits until the achievement pops up.

That Went Swimmingly

Take a dip in Foxington.
In the hub area of Foxington, just walk/jump into the deep water surrounding the whole area to unlock the achievement.

Get Set Radio

Interact with all 5 radios in Foxington.
In the hub area of Foxington there are 5 radios, all clearly visible and easy to find: to unlock the achievement, hit them by using the tail attack.

Grey Fox

Never get caught in a single run through of Under Pressure.
In the Under Pressure level in Foxington, Lucky must burrow under the blue floors in order not to be seen/caught by Ch1p (Lucky can safely stay in sight only on yellow floors). Hitting mines, obstacles, or even the hot dog bucket will get Lucky out of the ground, as well as going over the edges of platforms because he automatically jumps out. To unlock the achievement, you must finish the level without being caught.

According to users' reports, there's a trick to make things very easy: it seems that only the last section of the level (from the 3rd checkpoint to the end) counts towards the achievement. Hence the following trick:
  1. Reach the 3rd checkpoint (it's the one before the big spinning rings);
  2. (Optional) If you've been caught by Ch1p during the level, kill yourself by losing all hearts, thus a life;
  3. Finish the remaining part of the level without getting caught.
I haven't personally verified the trick, but give it a try if you happen to get caught before the 3rd checkpoint.

On Top Of Things

Defeat all of the enemies in Top That!
Defeat all of the enemies in the Top That! level in Foxington.

Everything Is Mine

Collect all of the collectibles during the cross ladder section of Step by Step.
In the Step by Step level in Foxington, collect all the coins and diamonds to unlock the achievement. I collected the hot-dog bucket too during my first playthrough, so I don't know if it's required or not (the bucket is practically down the road anyway).

A "Diamond" Dozen

Find all 4 diamonds in A Road to Nowhere.
In the A Road to Nowhere level in Foxington, collect the 4 diamonds to unlock the achievement. The level has a linear layout with little-to-none space left for exploration, and the diamonds are all visible.

Soap, Please!

Take a shower in Foxington.
In the most left part of the Foxington area featuring the Penultimate Warrior levels, there are two showers and two corresponding knobs. Hit a knob, wait a second or two for the water, and you'll have a shower unlock the achievement.

80s Ready

Defeat WriggleMania while wearing the Maxi-Mullet.
The Maxi-Mullet is the top part of the costume unlocked by beating all Ch1p levels in Foxington. Just finish the WriggleMania level (in the same world) while wearing the Maxi-Mullet and you're done.

The New Champ

Take no damage in WriggleMania.
Finish the WriggleMania level in Foxington without taking any damage.

Pancaked

Get crushed.
Just make Lucky get crushed/stomped on, by an enemy or environmental hazard. The easiest/fastest way is probably to make Lucky get hit by the stomp attack of big flowers, but the moving watermelon halves in the Melon Madness level in Wrestful Retreat work too.

Beetrayal

Have a Buzzkill kill a fellow Buzzkill.
To unlock the achievement, make a Buzzkill (the bee enemy) being hit by a thrown stinger. When you find two Buzzkills close enough, stay between them and wait for any of them to throw a stinger, then dodge it and let it hit the opposite Buzzkill. Alternatively, you can hit a stinger with your tail and send it back to the sender, the achievement should still pop up.

5. Conclusion
Thanks for reading this far, I really appreciate it!

A1. An easy method to farm coins
New Super Lucky's Tale is quite fair about in-game currency. You should collect 12000 coins (for the related achievement) and be able to buy almost all costumes with little-to-none farming, just by trying to complete the game. Anyway, in case you still need a few coins at the end of your adventure, my suggestion is to get them by playing the Dungeon Rush level in Sky Castle.

Dungeon Rush is the first "burrow level" in the game, a type of level that is usually quite short. This one is probably the easiest of them and, based on my tries, it's possible to finish it in about 1m 15s, collecting between 400 and 500 coins (my average result was about 470 coins per run). After finishing the level, press the "Replay" button to immediately play the same level again, and continue until you get the coins needed for the achievements and/or costumes.

@Taco: I agree, the "collect X coins" achievements were a bit excessive, good thing they rebalanced them in this "new" version.

thank god the collect 99,000 coins achievements is not in this game. i spent 9 hours grinding the same level for that in the previous game:sad_seagull:
