A Beginner's Guide to Rocket Jumping [VIDEO guide]

  • "Rocket jump" is used in this video as a general term since rocket jumping exists in other games. This is why the demoman sticky jumping is referred to as rocket jumping.
  • It's implied and shown from the footage but wasn't out-right stated: the angle the explosion hits the player changes how the player is pushed. With that in mind it's best to try and explode the rocket/sticky behind the player slightly for most forward distance.
  • "Never hold forward" isn't an absolute rule. Some advanced wall rebound stuff may require holding forward. For general use, don't hold forward when rocket jumping.

This is a good guide to show newbies the basics of Rocket/sticky jumping but stil some points are unclear. When you made the comparison from regular to ctrl jump you didnt say when you used chrouch. Also you should show off some jump servers.
