Enabling text chat
With the latest update, text chat is now available in "Dying Light 2." However, it is not activated by default. To enable it, navigate to Options, then select Hud, and toggle the text chat feature on. Don't forget to give the guide a thumbs up to boost its visibility, ensuring that more players can benefit from text chatting with others.

Wtf were they thinking when they implemented this but didn't set it to "on" by default like in DL1?
There's tons of people who might not figure this out for ages, and as far as I could notice, the players who have it disabled also don't see the messages you're sending.

Thanks for your attempt to give others a heads up about this, but I really can't understand the Devs' motives about having it set to off as a default setting lol smfh
