How 2 do this:

It's not terribly complex. Step-by-step, I'll explain it all for you, though.



STEP ONE

First, open up Windows Explorer, then go to Computer > Local Disk (C:)* > Program Files (X86)** > Steam > steamapps > common > VectorThrust > Objects > Airplane.

*Depends on where you installed Steam (and, by extension, VT)
**Only if your computer is 64bit; otherwise, it's just Program Files

STEP TWO

Then, select ANY aircraft of choice. Aircraft files are all the folders you see in this section. You may want to get the F-22A, for example - just look for F-22A.

STEP THREE

Now, look for AIRCRAFTNAME*.ini, open it in notepad (or notepad++), and now you've opened up all it's stats and the like.

*Dependant on the aircraft you chose. Both the folder and the .ini share the exact same name.

STEP FOUR

Finally, look for the following line, usually in the second section:

[UnlockSystem]
Start_Locked=true

And change it to:

[UnlockSystem]
Start_Locked=false

And there you go. Repeat steps 2-4 for every other aircraft you want.

Q: Will this break my game?

A: Nope, not at all. Otherwise, I'd not be telling you all this.


Q: Can I still play online (assuming i'm in the online beta)?

A: Yes. This minor of a change won't effect anything.


Q: Does this mean the unlocked aircraft's family's challenges can now be taken?

A: Sadly, no. I wish so, too..


Q: Does this let me use any aircraft I wish in the campaigns?

A: Nope, they use completely seperate aircraft lists - a whitelist of planes, if you will. If you wish to use these in a campaign's mission, go put the campaign's missions into BattleScenarios.


Q: What if an update happens?

A: Then you'll have to repeat the entire process for every plane you lost. Sorry, nothing I can do 'bout it.




I hope this helped at least a bit. It should, after all, lots of people could get pummeled by a guy in an F-22V.

HOLY CRAP THIS IS SEMI OFFICIAL (FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLU)
Incubator build, hit F11 in the Challenge mode. EVERY PLANE THAT EVER EXISTED (...IN VT) IS UNLOCKED
