Most people imagine editing files as something hard to do but it really isn't just head over to

(location of Flyout)
\common\Flyout\Flyout_Data\StreamingAssets\AreaData

Then edit the file to add

Area { id=2 name=Carrier start=true lon=44.1939 lat=58.396 time=0 alt=22.0 Obj { name=AC Carrier pos=0.0,-31.0,0.0 rot=0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0 scale=10.00000,10.00000,10.00000 } Obj { name=StartPoint pos=0.0,0.0,-120.0 rot=0.0,0.0,0.0,0.0 scale=3.00000,3.00000,3.00000 } }

at the very end, and boom go into the game (you don't even have to close the game) go to edit where you spawn and a carrier option will appear!

Just note it lacks alot of carrier features, just use it as a set piece or larping thing idk.

*Sidenote, I didn't make this airfield but found it on the discord but decided to share it on steam because i've seen many others asking, so credits to LDM (who i think was the one who made it)

also rq, how do i edit the files to get a prop with lots of blades?

just mods, flyout's areas.txt method is not amazing rn,

outdated now, carrier meshes seem to have been kill

it is likely you did it incorrectly

change the id to be the id of the last airfield in your areas.txt and increment it by one

make sure the previous airfield has the

}

}

add time=0 after lat (i haven't heard anyone have an issue with not having time using it but give it a go anyways)

as of 2024 this does not seem to work and just spawns you in low earth orbit
