About
I created this to set my beliefs of what should be the base plate (pun intended) of server hosting.
Naming
Naming your server can be difficult. You may not know what to decide. It may have come to you earlier, It may come to you instantly. Here's some tips for naming your server.

Basics:

What you SHOULDN'T name your server:

City life job rp please join im lonly read desc follow rules no lag please join.

EW! DISGUSTING! That title is a piece of garbage. NEVER just randomly type unorganized text into the title box. You wont get many players other than children.

What you SHOULD consider:

--[REDACTED'S] Galax County City RP [Read Desc Please :D]---

I'm not saying you should use this exact name. Just an example. There's a Server want to join. Custom city names can intrigue players and attract crowds. Do you're best to make the title interesting. Notice the dashes. It can attract. Notice the neatly organised text. It can attract. Custom fonts can also draw players to your Server.

Bonus: Random screenshot I have of a bad naming example. This was probably just a server for friends or a joke server, but here it is.

That was the only server on the list due to an error, but it made for a goofy screenshot.
Description
Now for making your description. You also want to make your description fun to read, and not just make players click off. I rarely sometimes see a server with a good title but a bad description.

What you should try to AVOID as your description:

please join
. there is military just ask. btw the military base is the small town in the mountains no laggy stuff no god mode players no trains also [REDACTED] is staff [REDACTED] is also staff don't go to small townthat is staff base or military no skibidy toliet or cameraman

Yes, that is an actual example. I redacted the names. I used this description with permission. (Hey! That rhymed! :D) Lets discuss whats wrong with this. Not organised. Random text blathered into a box. I think its kind of self explanatory why this is a bad example. 'no skibidy toliet or cameraman'...

What you SHOULD try:

---From [REDACTED]---

-----Thanks for reading the description! :P-----

That is a description and a half. In my opinion, it is better to read, and just gets the job done in a neat and organised manner. But it is still my opinion. You may or may not like that example. In my opinion, it has all a description needs. Neatly organised text, bullet point-like dashes, and a simple format.
Actually Hosting
Now for actually hosting your server.

You definitely want to avoid this:

Don't kick somebody without reasonable suspicion of a rule broken. If somebody does something you don't like, but it wasn't in the rules, don't kick them. Give them a warning, and make a note to make that a rule. Clearing all vehicles without warning is also a no-no. If somebody is breaking a rule don't ban them for an infinite time. Actually give them a warning, and maybe ban them for 10 minutes to an hour. It's a decent amount of time.

Try to do this:

I recommend adding a key bind to remove all unused vehicles, such as insert or some other mainly unused key. To add a key like this, I will put instructions at the end of this section. Always be on the lookout for rule-breakers, not always role playing. Its important that you are not using all of your time having fun, as hosting the server is a big priority, not just goofing off. Giving people warnings is a thing you have to do. I will put another section for warnings and such other parts later.
Warnings, ECT.
