Introduction
This guide will help you complete all achievements currently available in the game.

Disclaimer: it is possible that strategies listed in the guide might not be the best ones, but they are what was working for me to get all achievements. If you have any suggestions for improvements, feel free to leave them in comments and I might update the guide.
Act 1 enemies

Get out of My Way
Defeat Big Pig
- Big Pig will be asleep and wake up either after taking HP damage or after 4 turns. Use that time if you need to setup anything like buffs or Azi's [Hundred-legger] summon. It also has a buff which hits you back with each attack, so it's better to use big-hitting attacks rather than a lot of small/multi-hit ones.

One for Two
Defeat Taoist Brothers
- When one of the brothers gets below 30 HP, the other will sacrifice them and double the damage dealt. If you manage to kill one of them before the sacrifice, the other one is not going to have damage buff.

Spinning Iron Ball
Defeat Iron Ball Guy
- Nothing to mention in particular, he will place Fragile status on you, skip a turn to prepare a big attack and then smack you with it.

Cross into the Afterlife
Defeat Syncretic Spirit
- Each time you deal attack damage to it, you will receive status effect in your hand, excluding Ao Yu dragon form attacks; Azi's summons do not trigger this effect as well. Try using single big hitting attacks instead of small or multi-hit ones, or if playing Ao Yu, fill hand with curses and use them as claw attacks the same turn if possible.

Shut up
Defeat Master of Beneficence
- This boss will use 3x hitting attack and going to place curses in your hand in-between.

Seems to be a BOSS
Defeat Zhuxian Master
- This boss will summon minions from time to time and buff Strength/armor up them in-between attacks. You can either rush him ignoring minions if you have enough hp and below 14 aura level that halves your healing after defeating general or deal with the most annoying minions to roll for easy ones/make him waste turn for summoning.

Just a Pig!
Defeat the True God
- This one will change form after getting below 50% HP, gaining HP regen and stackable Strength buff, so you need to deal with him quickly after that. It's better to save your AP until you trigger that phase to be able to burst him down, usually if you're locked on 2 AP with a small deck, you'll be using 1 AP to shuffle and 1 AP to attack which would be equal to or less than his regen. Don't be afraid to skip a couple of armor cards usage if you can afford to lose a bit of HP.
Act 2 enemies

Ice Melts
Defeat Dragon Lady
- She places stackable debuff that increases AP cost for a random card in your hand N times and then cast a buff to reduce all damage received in half. After 3 turns she will add stacks to your debuff, so playing cards will be quite costly.

Unbearable
Defeat Shield Fish
- This is a pair of enemies where the big one takes all the hits targeted on the small one including summons direct attacks, Ao Yu dragon form attacks sometimes bypass this. Any AoE attack will hit both of them and certain effects can be placed on the small one regardless, but generally the big one will go down first.

Too Much Heads
Defeat Hydra
- This enemy has 5 heads and HP regen buff. Each head can either attack for a random damage or place Broken debuff. When you target a specific head with an attack, it will be stunned for that turn. Since Broken debuff is quite punishing, it is preferrable to stun heads intending to place it first unless there is a heavy-hitting head. Targeting body, using AoE attacks or summon attacks will not stun any of the heads, and AoE attacks will hit only once.

Take the Bait
Defeat The Old Fisherman
- This is an annoying enemy that will go invisible making all direct attacks including items and summon attacks miss. He will reappear with an attack if you play 2 more cards (going invisible again after 1 more card) or after the turn end. Talent abilities and items do not trigger invisibility status change. You can use defense cards to get him out of invisibility to hit him after or ending turn if you have summons because their attacks will miss if he's invisible. Any AoE attack will hit him regardless of invisibility status, but "hit random target" ones won't.
Special note for Ao Yu, entering dragon form on this enemy is quite punishing because you'll be hit back every 3rd card you play and only one out of 3 claws will hit him. Either have a good reason to enter it with cards, or try to remove Stress stacks to continue using spells/enter form without (or with low amount) cards in your hand.

Deluge Around
Defeated the River God
- This one will put you underwater when below 50% HP and summon 2 minion, usually you can just continue targeting him regardless. If you have rather low damage and decent sustain, you can target minions first since they place Weakness on you.

Two Fish with One Shot
Defeat Fish Sisters
- These are annoying because they put a 2-stack debuff that negates any card or item used. Usually you'll have 2 AP at this moment, so unless you have some items to throw away, you'll be in a tight spot because every 2nd turn your turn is essentially canceled. Having 0-cost card helps with this issue and [Straw Hat] item used in advance or any other source of Protect status will negate the debuff completely.
When one of the sisters is dead, the other will spend her next turn preparing to resurrect her with half HP. Either kill her before that or be ready to deal with both of them again.

Coup De Grace
Defeat Loong King
- This boss is chained and as he continues to receive damage will gradually get rid of them, increasing his damage dealt. Each attack will change his intention and give him stacking temporary Strength for the current turn. Additionally, one of his attacks places a stacking dot debuff on you which is hitting you regardless of armor.

Gold!
Kill Giant Mussel
- This is a 2nd act elite enemy with 999 HP. I used an infinite deck for this one, but the clear rate is quite high, so there might be other ways to do that.
Infinite deck recipe for Chuan is the following:
- any 0-cost damage card (or [Roll the Boulder] card if you can place Weakness)
- at least 2 [Replicate] cards in the deck with at least 1 being upgraded
- at least 1 [Stargazing]
You need to have [Stargazing], one of the [Replicate] cards and 0-cost damage card in your hand. [Replicate]+ should be in a draw pile, which you're getting with [Stargazing]. After that, you clone 0-cost upgraded [Replicate]+ with the other one in your hand and you can infinitely produce cost-free [Replicate]+ and your damage card of choice.
Act 3 enemies

Angry Bear
Defeat the Bear
- This boss allows you to play up to 3 non-attack/non-summon cards per turn, after you play the 3rd one, he will stun you, ending your turn. The counter is kept between turns, so if you used 2 non-attack cards, it's better to use the 3rd one or you'll end up having only 1 such card for the next turn. The stun can be negated with Protect status.
Special note for Ao Yu, if your deck is relying on true form cards, any non-attack card will still count for this boss and he can stun you out of the form early; playing 3rd card which causes you to go into dragon form will make him stun you immediately as well without playing any form cards.

Tax Evasion
Defeat the Sheep
- This boss will use the special attack on the 1st turn and then randomly after which places 0-cost card in your hand that you can use to pay 30 silver (if you have it) the boss for him to skip a turn. Generally it will hit pretty hard once in a while and not-so-hard in-between. He also steals 10 of your money with his attacks, so pay attention if you still have enough to play a skip turn card.
You get your money back after the victory, so don't be afraid to pay him.
Special note for Ao Yu, when you enter dragon form, the payment card will be used as a [Claw Strike] and you'll need to redraw it again after a deck shuffle. It might be better to play this card early if you see a good opportunity for it rather than trying to get it back in time.

Spotlight!
Defeat Wuyou Etiquette
- These are 3 enemies, one of which always attacks, the other one will either heal and place armor or attack and put 2x [Tinnitus] status cards in your hand, and the 3rd one will either buff all of them with 1 Strength or attack.
Whenever you target any of them with an attack, the target will receive a buff that doubles the effect of the action (stronger attack, better heals and armor, 4x [Tinnitus] or 2x Strength buff).
I prefer to kill the one in front first because the other two don't pose as much threat skipping half of their turns on healing/buffs, though if you wait too long, their buffs can overwhelm you.

Huge Stomach
Defeat Wuyou Prime Minister
- This boss will use heavy-hitting attacks once in a while and after reaching 2/3 and 1/3 of HP instead of the previously selected action he will vore you, where you need to fight the stomach which ramps up damage really quickly if you don't deal with it fast, after that you'll get spat back again. It is a rather simple fight which just checks your damage and survivability.

Kingslayer
Defeat Wuyou King
- This boss starts the battle with a targetable 300HP censer which halves the damage boss receives and makes any card you use disperse until the boss reaches 10 stacks. Additionally, the stacks increase by one each turn, so if you have a small deck or don't have any cards you can afford to lose for this battle, you can wait a few turns for the stacks to reach ten since the boss doesn't hit for a lot during this phase.
Censer should be ignored because it disappears when boss reaches 10 stacks and it's highly unlikely you could kill it in 9 cards or less.
If you have cards that disperse when played anyway, they can be played first since you would lose them anyway after.
Occasionally the boss will put 4x 0-cost cards that make you lose 8 HP and gain 1 Strength on use, they trigger the stack increase as well.
After 10 stacks are reached, censer will be removed from the battle and boss will transform performing a 5x hit attack, then buff+heal himself, then use a single-hit attack and the cycle repeats.
Act 4 enemies

Rear stinger!
Defeat Scorpion King
- Possible elite in Act 4. When you deal 120 damage to him, he will change form and every attack (except for Ao Yu dragon form attacks and Azi minion attacks) you hit him with will get you 4 poison, stacking. Additionally, all incoming damage for him is reduced to 3 for the next three turns. After that he will change stance back to the initial one.

Go together
Defeat Grudge Ghosts
- Possible elite in Act 4. One of the two will be targetable and other is not, they swap when visible ghost takes 5 instances of damage. Invisible ghost will not perform its action, so you can manipulate if you want them to swap or not depending on the visible ghost intention.
Be careful with Azi mark there as minions will continue to try attacking invisible ghost if marked, nullifying their damage.

Broken Horn
Defeat Prison Warden
- Possible elite in Act 4. The main problem with this enemy is that every instance of damage that is less than 14 is negated completely until he receives 14 or more damage, then you can damage him normally until the next turn where you need to hit him for 14+ again. Azi in particular has issues with this boss if minions do not have scaling power.

True and False
Defeat Old Monkey Yao
- Possible elite in Act 4. He periodically spawns monkey adds that die in 1 hit and deal low damage which ramps up if not killed. After getting below 350 HP he will summon a clone of himself.

Evil source
Defeat Evil Sword Shura
- Act 4 boss. He can only take up to 200 damage in a single turn, becoming invincible until the next turn. For every 5 cards you play he deals 3 damage to you and heals himself for 3 HP. After a few turns he starts going into alternative form (similar to 3rd Act Wolf boss' stomach) which needs to be killed to revert him back. This form can hit really hard, so it's better to have enough damage to be able to kill it in one/two turns. Also, there is an event before this boss which allows you to get an item that can revert his form on use.
Mosan

Back for Drink
Win with Mosan
- Self-explanatory, win a run with Mosan (Act 4 is not necessary). Any build should be viable, though status cards are rather hard to work with should you choose this path.

The Show Stopper
Use 3 Finishing Moves in one turn
- Can be done either with extra AP (6 in total for a turn) and full rage, or by having talent for 10 max rage and/or 2 rage after using a finisher.

Refining the Demon Sword
Use Dripping Blood to get a Bloodthirsty
- [Dripping Blood] card requires to be used 5 times and then it transforms into a [Bloodthirsty].

Unbreakable
Have more than 60 armor at the start of the turn
- This one requires to have a couple of [Hold the Line] cards since it is unlikely to get 60 armor in one turn. Use them in 2 different turn with armor-heavy cards such as [Blood Shield], [Indifferent].

Capitalist
Gain more than 400 silver in a single game by Exploit
- Find an Exploit talent early enough (1st or 2nd midboss during 1st act), play with a wound deck, should be done before the last boss of the run.

Leading Zha
Defeating the King by Execution
- This one requires killing Wuyou King with Execution, so the higher you ramp up the card damage, the easier it will get.

Thousand Cuts
More than 100 Wounds on a single enemy
- Pretty hard achievement because enemies usually die before 100 stacks are achieved. I did this on 2nd act big crab enemy since it rarely attacks and doesn't buff itself (unless it's a version with rider), so you can defend without attacking it endlessly. I spammed the [Bloodstain Trio] finisher while having max rage limit = 10 and 2 rage back from the finisher, so if you don't have enough rage you just use it with a full AP cost. Eventually you'll reach 100 stacks and can kill it after.

Major Criminal
Mo San unlocks Yao-Slaying Tower
- Unlock Yao-Slaying Tower (Act 4) for Mosan by clearing Act 3.
Chuan

A great... revenge?
Win with Chuan
- Self-explanatory, win a run with Chuan (Act 4 is not necessary). Projectile deck is quite easy one to operate with, other builds are viable as well.

Bang Bang Bang
Deal a shot of Scatter Shot with more than 9 bullets
- Expand the magazine with [Extend], fill it with [Full Load] and fire away with [Scatter Shot].

The Stone Age
Change Bamboo Fire magazine to 1
- This one is easy, use [Emergency Food] twice to remove 4 magazine capacity in total.

Like Lu Bu
Use a melee card with 20 Stinky
- Use [Gluttony] to fill your hand with poop bombs a couple of times, then use [Kick] or any other melee card.

Star-gazing
Use 3 Stargazing in one turn
- Easy to do if you have [Replicate+] to create 2 copies of [Stargazing]; otherwise you'll need to have 2 or 3 of them in the deck. 3 is easy to perform, 2 requires some kind of luck. If you have both and deck shuffle card - use one, shuffle the deck, use another one to fish for the 1st one. If you have one in discard and one in hand with deck shuffle - use the 1st one and hope to get another one immediately after reshuffle.

Hat Trick
Use 3 Roll the Boulder in one turn
- This one can be done relatively easy if you have any means to apply weakness to the target and then have [Replicate+] to create 2 copies of the [Roll the Boulder]. Additionally, this is one of the possibilities for infinite deck with [Replicate].

Suo Yao Tower
Unlock Tower
- Unlock Yao-Slaying Tower (Act 4) for Chuan by clearing Act 3.
Azi

Just Over?
Win with Azi
- Self-explanatory, win a run with Azi (Act 4 is not necessary). Any summon deck is viable, poison is slightly harder to work with, calamity is now playable, but quite RNG-reliant if you don't find [Disaster Befallen].

King of Anaconda
Use a Snakes Coming summon at least 5 Snakes
- [Snake Out] uses all [Spirit Snake] cards, whether in discard or draw pile (but not disperse) and there are 3 of them by default in the deck. The goal is to add two more [Spirit Snake] in your deck, could be done by using [Twins Snake] card before playing [Snake Out] or choosing the talent to add 2x [Spirit Snake]+ into the deck.

Arise, My Champion!
Use a Living Dead to revive at least 10 summons
- [Living Dead] is the card that revives all summons that died last turn. Upgraded version is reserved in your hand, so it is handy to do that and not rely on it coming in the perfect moment. It needs some setup, could be paired with "The Cave Of Silken Web" achievement (not necessarily). Either find a way to summon 10 spiders (provided you don't have any talent for them to live longer than 1 turn), or setup your summons in a way that you have several of them on a last hp and fill the rest with any 1-turn hp summons, spiders are the easiest; use the card the next turn.

Didn't Mean It
Kill 3 enemies in one turn with Calamity
- It's better now that calamity is buffed, but still hard to setup. [Disaster Befallen] triggers calamity on all enemies and [Enchantment] sacrifices a minion to give all enemies 14/20 stacks of calamity. You'll need to find these cards early and then have an encounter with multiple enemies, put them below calamity stacks threshold and then trigger it. [Curse Puppet] is a 0-cost card which places 8/11 stacks of calamity on a single target and requires dispersing a card from your hand; [Deteriorate] doubles poison and calamity stacks on an enemy, both of these cards can be used in addition to previous cards if one enemy has more HP than the others.
Note: the 3rd act elite enemy which summons swords is a good opportunity if you can trigger calamity, otherwise you need to win your dice rolls.

The Cave of Silken Web
There are at least 10 spiders on the field
- This one might take a while. There are a few cards that can summon spiders, along with a single talent. if you're lucky enough, double upgraded [Living Dead] will do the trick, since you need to spawn only 5 spiders and then use the card twice. If you have only single one, you can wait till the turn you're able to summon the most of spiders you can, rez them next turn and hopefully be able to find the means to summon the rest.

Omaewa mou shindeiru
Hit a Poison Blast with more than 100 damage
Poison in this game is hard to scale since it decreases in half after it is triggered. You either have to use upgraded [Spitting Gecko] with a lot of buffs and attack triggers, or have the means to stack 25/50 poison and then use 1 or 2 [Deteriorate] cards that double poison stacks, after that you can use [Poison Blast] to get the achievement.

Gu bred
Azi unlocks Yao-Slaying Tower
- Unlock Yao-Slaying Tower (Act 4) for Azi by clearing Act 3.
Ao Yu

Trial... complete?
Clear with Ao Yu
- Self-explanatory, win a run with Ao Yu (Act 4 is not necessary). Lots of different spells are viable, dragon form cards aren't usually worth it because claws scale with strength and don't take deck space unlike specific dragon form cards. Pray cards can be useful, but somewhat hard to work with due to them being random.

Curious
Ao Yu unlocks Yao-Slaying Tower
- Unlock Yao-Slaying Tower (Act 4) for Ao Yu by clearing Act 3.

Dead by claws
Play 10 Claw Strike in a turn
- I got this achievement only by playing 11 claws (10 was not enough), so playing [Rising Tide] to go into dragon form is not enough by itself. Having [Fierce Shout]+ really helps setting this up as you can draw it in you hand, use Wind Calling skill or any other spell with at least 2 card draw effect to go into form and it results in 11+ claws played if you have enough cards in the draw pile.
Alternatively, you can have inner skill to reduce max stress level to 2 and try going into dragon mode twice in a turn, where you use Wind Calling skill after the 1st transformation and hope to get some spell which can draw cards.
Be careful not to have additional dragon form cards except for [Fierce Shout] in your deck as they are not transformed into claws.

Have many dreams
Play more than 5 times Sweet Dream in a game
- Just continuously use [Sweet Dream] throughout the game and it will be done.

Rebirth from the flames
Play Phoenix Strike to heal more than 100 HP
- [Phoenix Strike] heals for each enemy hit, so you want an encounter with large amount of enemies. 3rd act elite which summons swords is the easiest one to work with, but any other encounter with 4 enemies should work if you have 2+ strength buff and the card is upgraded (24 damage per hit). If you have FireFury buff cards like [Painful Memories], 3 enemies should be enough if you stack 10+ of the buff.
Sha Er

Got rich!
Clear with Sha Er
- Self-explanatory, win a run with Sha Er (Act 4 is not necessary). Crossbow is the easiest build, other weapons are a bit harder.

Ancient ruins
Clear with Sha Er
- Unlock Yao-Slaying Tower (Act 4) for Sha Er by clearing Act 3.

Rare Treasure
Have 1 Antique +18
- Upgrade any Antique card to +18, they are upgraded in your hand each time you draw them and can be upgraded by events/elixirs multiple times. Choose an encounter with easy enemy that doesn't have scaling power and utilize a lot of Bury mechanic cards to put a card into draw pile to not wait for the next shuffle to draw it. The earlier you can get Antique card the better, as encounters become stronger and you need to shuffle your deck a lot in a single encounter for this achievement.

Shadow Shift Mirage
Switch weapons 8 times in a turn
- You need to have at least 8 weapon cards in your hand with at least 4 being different from the one that has the largest amount of cards, so use draw cards like [Excavate] or [Clever Shift] to get them, and when you have it simply use the ones which are not your current weapon. Be careful when balancing which weapon you're switching to, for example if you have 4 crossbow, 2 pickaxe and 2 dagger - alternate between crossbow and either of pickaxe/dagger.

Punches and Kicks
Play 3 Combo cards continuously in a turn
- Easiest way to do this is to take [Dual Dagger] and wait until they duplicate enough so you have at least 3 of them in a hand, then play them. If you play 3 combo cards in 1 turn, but not in a row (with additional card in-between), it doesn't count towards achievement.

Dumb luck
Play 6 Bullseye in a turn
- Requires playing [Bullseye] 6 times which returns in your hand if dealt max damage, can easily be done with upgraded [Tomb Mark]+ (guarantees max damage for all crossbow cards) if you have enough other crossbow cards to switch weapon for it or extra crossbow durability.
Events

Sinking
Choose to lose HP 3 times in the Mud Bog event
- This event requires either losing a card or HP 3 times, don't give any cards and that's it.

Get the gains without pains
Waited rabbit for the first time in the event of Waiting for Rabbit
- Luck-based achievement. This event suggests waiting for a rabbit with a small chance to upgrade 3 cards in your deck or lose HP, up to 3 times with increasing chance for a rabbit to show up. You need to get it on the 1st try, no tricks here.

Exhausted
Choose to Knock till the end in the Monk event
- This is the 3rd act event which gives you Exhausted status cards in exchange for upgrading your deck cards. You need to ring the bell 3 times which lets you upgrade 3 cards and puts 7 Exhausted cards in your deck. It's not as bad as it sounds, they are removed from the deck permanently after being played (2 AP cost), so if your deck is strong enough to tank a few wasted AP for a couple of battles or relies on status effects, you can still finish the run after.

Buying Up
Buy all items in The Unicycle event
- This is quite an easy event that gives you an opportunity to buy items for a really low cost (5-15 silver) which you should all buy (not sure what will happen if you have your items full, but you can discard some to be sure). The catch is that I encountered this event 2 times in 50+ runs and it was on 14+ yao aura.
I think it is related to the amount of free items slots you have rather than yao aura, so if you're looking for this one, try keeping no more than 0 or 1 items in your inventory at all times.

Who Am I?
Lose at least 300 silver in the Meng Po Soup event
This is the 3rd act event which offers you to forget 3 cards in exchange for all your money. Don't be a big spender in the shop and have some money on you if you're looking for this event for achievement.

Lucky Dog
Betting on Pearls event to choose the lowest silver to get the pearl
- Luck-based achievement. This event offers you to pay different amount of silver to receive a 200 silver pearl with a different chance. Pay the lowest amount with the smallest chance until you're getting the pearl, no tricks here.
Other

First Glimpse
Unlock Aura 1
- Beat the game on Aura 1, it doesn't really differ from 0 Aura run. Official hint suggests that it will be unlocked on beating the game with Aura 0, so this might be outdated.

Dense Aura
Pass Aura 10
- Beat the game on Aura 10, it is preferred to find the character you have the most success with playing and stick to it, for me it was Azi using summons.

Yao-Guai Hunter
Pass Aura 20
- Beat the last Aura, basically the same advice as for the previous one.

Until Next Time
All cards drawn at the beginning of the turn are status or curse cards
- Your best bet is probably Jellyfish 2nd act enemy if you have some multi-hit attacks (excluding Azi minions/Ao Yu claw attacks), it will fill your draw pile with [Paralysis] cards. Alteratively, Wuyou Etiquette Commission can produce quite a few of Tinnitus cards as well if you stay in the encounter long enough. You can also use Mosan status-generating cards to fill your deck with status effects, or try some Bury shenanigans with Sha Er.

Unbeatable
Max HP reaches 120
- There are several ways to achieve that, but the easiest one is using [Devour] with Azi and it will be naturally completed just by using the card throughout the run.

ADHD
Have 12 Action Points
- The easiest way is using Azi's [Transmutation] card while playing deck that utilizes a lot of summons (spiders, snakes). Alternatively, Sha Er's [Night Pearl] +7 and above can achieve that as well.

One Hit Kill
Deal more than 300 damage in a single attack
- This achivement can be paired with "Leading Zha" achievement, if you roll Mosan's Execute card early in the run, you can ramp up the damage decently high, but not enough to deal 300 damage. The solution is to use talent to trigger critical strike (or [Take a Sip] card) and apply fragile status effect ([Thrown Flail] is a good card for that). If that is not enough, there is act 3 enemy "Mirage Yao" that makes everyone in the battle deal and receive double damage.
Alternatively, Ao Yu has FireFury buff and a [Fire Punch] card that does 3x/4x damage of FireFury stacks. You can use [Scorching Ember] snack, [Painful Memories] card and Elemental Cycle talent to get stacks and then use [Elemental Mastery] card that doubles/triples FireFury stacks. With upgraded [Fire Punch] you'll need 25 FireFury stacks that will be tripled by [Elemental Mastery].

Everest Climber
Upgrade all cards in your deck at end of the game
- You can either use a small deck and upgrade all the cards naturally, or try to roll Azi's talent to lose 30 max hp and upgrade all cards in the deck after the 2nd boss and only add upgraded cards later. Sha Er can also use [Chest Crack] to help with upgrading the whole deck, though you'd need to avoid Antique cards so they do not snatch upgrades from normal cards.

Full Combo
Not taking any damage from enemies in one game
- This was the hardest achievement for me. The only viable strategy I could think of was playing Azi and fishing ASAP for the inner skill that gives 3 armor when playing a summon. After that, pick up mostly summon and armor cards, [Snake Out] is working great because you get armor for each summon. You can try to apply tips below to other characters if you want to try the run with them.
You need to know all encounters in the game and avoid ones that give you poison or damage you ignoring the armor. One important example is 2nd act dragon general that places fire dot debuff on you (can sometimes be changed to different attack when he receives damage on your turn), the only solution is to have protect for when that happens and kill him quickly enough so he doesn't do it twice.
Take as many precautions for the 1st turn as possible - elixir to get free card on the 1st turn, 1st turn extra draw, armor on the 1st turn; even if your deck is great, you can still get bad 1st turn and not be able to defend properly.
As an upside, you can use cards that cost HP freely because you're not getting hit ever; take all max hp reduction bonuses if you need them, I had 36 max HP at some moment.
Here's screenshot of my successful run so you can get the general idea of what to use:

I also managed to achieve the same for Ao Yu, though I got really lucky with encounters:

Travel Light
Win game with deck no more than 10 cards
- There could be several solutions, the one that worked for me was armor deck with Mosan (remove all [Chop] and [Wrath Strike], get a few [Elbow Bash] cards and [Crush] finisher, get a couple of [Indifferent]/[Hold the Line]/[Blood Shield]). I didn't check if shuffle deck card counts as a card, so to be sure I had 9 playable cards along with the shuffle.

Butterfingers
Use a card that deal damage to self to kill your self
- There are quite a few ways to achieve that, the achivement picture suggests using Chuan [Blast Bomb] (8/10 dmg to yourself if you don't play it while in your hand), but other self-inflicting damage cards and items work as well. Just get under the threshold for the card you have and use it.

Though it produces Ancestor cards, it is a regular jade rarity card. You can still buy it in shops or get as a battle reward, most likely after the act boss.

You forgot to mention that Sweet Dream is an Ancestor card
