A few notes
Always read the manual. It will often tell you things that you will be expected to know, such as speed changes via signal indication rather than the F4 track monitor.
However, after having just read the manual, it actually doesnt seem very helpful. I'm fairly certain at some point I read a manual that explained the style of signals encountered here but I can't figure out which one. I digress.

I played the scenarios in the "Head Out Window" view, or Shift+2. I found that shifting views while in motion occasionally caused false speeding penalties, and the head out view allows the best view of signals.

As you drive the route, you may notice advance signals. They inform you what the upcoming absolute signal aspect is. In this DLC, speed changes may also posted on these in the form of a yellow number, underneath the signal. You need to be doing less than that before the next signal or you will be assessed a speeding penalty. At the absolute signal it will be a white number, on top of the signal. For example, if you see an advance signal with a yellow 7, you need to be doing less than 70 km/h before the signal that has a white 7.

This is an example of an advance signal showing an advance speed reduction warning. It is the yellow seven below the signal. This is an advance signal, it is showing the aspect of the upcoming absolute signal but not enforcing the aspect:

This is an example of an absolute signal where the speed reduction becomes enforced:

I didn't slow enough and now I'm speeding, even though the F4 map says the reduction is still upcoming:

With that said, this route has many unmarked speed changes. I have done my best to note them.

Some throttle positions for the 218 you may find helpful:
Notch 5 - 60.8 km/h
Notch 11 - 110.7 km/h
Notch 12 - 119 km/h
Scenario: [648] 1. A Winter's Return (Part 1)
Mostly works. There are several unmarked speed changes. At Kiel - Elmschenhagen there is an unmarked 50km/h reduction at the platform edge. At Bad Malente - Gremsmuhlen there is an unmarked 50km/h reduction at the first switch.

At Preetz, the train will allow you to board passengers, however, it seems that the scheduled stop will not start until 14:26. This caused a timeliness penalty of +29. A station stop in this scenario should provide 84 points.

With this penalty, and a further -6 for speeding, I was able to complete the scenario with 947 points and the achievement popped. In theory, I could have received a maximum of 953 points.

Achievement: NBKT: Winter Gift - Works
Scenario: [648] 2. A Winter's Return (Part 2)
This works. Again, there are several unmarked speed changes. As you travel north through Ponitz (Holst) Platform 1, the south switch has an unmarked speed change to 60km/h.

After the following station stop (I forget the station, it is the stop after you pass through Ponitz) there was an unmarked slowdown to 40km/h, but it was during acceleration from the station so it was managable. I did not get screen shots of this, it happened rather quickly and did not affect my score.

The Janky speed change:

Speed limit has changed to 60 km/h:

Back to 120 km/h:

This also occurs in Summer Slip Part 2, but you are travelling in the opposite direction in that scenario.

Achievement: NBKT: Still Snowing! - Works
Scenario: [648] 3. A Winter's Return (Part 3)
Mostly works. Huge props to Bruce Rail Fan for the explanation on how to get this to work.

The post can be found here if you feel like giving Bruce Rail Fan an award: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/24010/discussions/3/3111393847713090473/#c3052863612116924298

It worked for me on the second try, I hit the rando car in notch 1 and then sped up to notch 5 until nearly at the platform and set the throttle to zero. I did not use any brakes. The car infront stopped me eventually but never coupled.

Achievement: NBKT: Finishing The Job - Works, somehow

Bruce Rail Fan, you're a stud. Thank you!
Scenario: [218] 4. Summer Slip (Part 1)
This can be completed. However, there are only 4 checkpoints each worth 200 points each. The maximum score for this scenario is 800 points, and obviously the associated achievement requires 900 points.

Achievement: NBKT: Soggy Summer - Broken

Womp womp.
Scenario: [218] 5. Summer Slip (Part 2)
Works. It is possible to achieve 1000 points in this scenario. There is a nasty unmarked speed change to 60km/h with about 15k to go to Bad Schwartau. As you head south through Ponitz (Holst) Platform 1, the second switch is where this takes place. there is lots of time to accomodate this speed change and still make the scheduled stop at Bad Schwartau.

The speed change, next to the silos:

Watch out for the dude along the tracks:

Back up to 120 km/h

The switch viewed in the map:

However, Train Simulator does not seem to consider the scenario complete. The associated achievement, Completing the Service does not unlock after the completion of the run. Furthermore, The achievement NBKT: Scenic Regional Operation showed 5/7 and this was the 6th scenario I completed in the DLC.

On the original run I preformed, I saved at one point and reloaded. To make sure that this wasn't the cause of the achievement not popping, I replayed the scenario without saving or opening the menu. scoring 1000 points this way still did not unlock the achievement.

Achievement: NBKT: Completing the Service - Broken

NBKT: Scenic Regional Operation was eventually unlocked.
Scenario: [648] 6. The Lonely Wanderer
This worked for me. I have no notes about this run and I'm not sure that's a good thing. Be cautious.

Achievement: NBKT: The Only One - Works
Scenario: [218] 7. Wintery Lake
It works. However, you have to be perfect as you can only achieve 800 points on this scenario and that is what the achievement requires. Drive with caution, watch for changing speed limits.

Achievement: NBKT: At The Lake - Works
Odds and Ends
Both Railfan scenarios work. They will both give 1000 points, and both will count towards Scenic Regional Operation.

NBKT: Fantastic Forest works. With that said, it seemed to only count kilometerage from trips in the 648.
NBKT: Scenic Regional Operation works. In my case, completion of Summer Slip Part 2 did not count towards this, but it still unlocked. I just had to 8 scenarios instead of 7.

I hope this guide helps in some way. Please post a comment if you have any corrections, concerns, or comments. If you would like to see a similar guide made for other Train Simulator content, please let me know!

Thanks for the guide, good to know that the achievements really don‘t work.
