Work in progress: work on this guide is still ongoing. Maybe now it looks like just a list of achievements, but it will not be so for long. Very soon, I will update each achievement with a detailed description and a screenshot or video explaining how to unlock it.

Achievement Info
Set in the Koronus Expanse, a little-charted and perilous region of space, this backwater sector is rife with opportunities for explorers and adventurers alike. As a Rogue Trader, you will traverse incredible distances in your giant voidship as you chart this cluster of planets.

On your travels, you will encounter a variety of Imperial subjects as well as xenos. Travel is perilous in the 41st millennium, even for a Rogue Trader – the warp is a strange and terrible place in which countless dangers lurk. Not always visible, but no less terrifying for it, denizens of the warp will be another thing for you and your crew to guard against. But you must go through this path to unlock all 100% of the achievements

Complete the Story Quests.
Some part of the achievements can be obtained for fairly ordinary things: completing various chapters of the story, beating the story, completing side quests, and so on.

Try to look under every stone in search of interesting missions, immerse yourself in the story of your characters, overcome exciting difficulties and unlocking achievements will not take long to come.

The world around you
Remember that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is an RPG game where roleplay is important. The world around your characters is huge and they have to live by its laws. Don't limit yourself to just the main story and you will find a lot of interesting content, and also unlock many achievements.

Show your imagination and wonders of tactics
Many gameplay achievements can be obtained by using unusual combat tactics. Use your abilities, terrain and character placement to get the maximum advantage in battle. The game will not remain in your debt

Core Difficulty?
The descriptions of some achievements may mislead you cause they need to be completed on Core difficulty, although the game itself does not have such difficulty. Core is the old name for the difficulty, which is now called Daring, this difficulty level is to the right of normal. Perhaps this will be fixed in the future, but just keep in mind that in my guide the achievements have corrected descriptions.

Glitchy achievements
For some reason, achievements are currently not unlocked immediately, but only after some time has passed. For some users, progress is only counted when the savegame is loaded, for others only after restarting the game. Hope that the developers will fix this in future updates.

Spoiler Alert.
Unfortunately, in this guide we will have to talk a lot about mission walkthrough and many other things that reveal the story of the game. If you want to play it yourself and not spoil your impression, then first go through the game on your own and come back when you are sure that you are ready to see spoilers.

Therefore, I ask you not to write in the comments about any spoilers that you saw here. You are responsible for yourself. Thank you!

💀 Don't Touch This

Start a new game, create your character and move through the Prologue. Remember that this is one of the achievements that must be completed on an Daring difficulty level.

During the Prologue, you will find a large number of tutorial notes that will introduce you to the basic rules of the game.

At the very end of the Prologue, your party will be on the bridge of a spaceship and after a short cutscene you will encounter the boss of the Prologue — the Chaos Spawn. Your task is to kill this creature in such a way that it does not devour any of the cultists participated in combat.

Make a save before the start of the combat, since the game allows you to do this at the stage of placing your team members. Chaos Spawn himself, as well as several other heretical cultists, will fight against you. Devour is the boss’s ability to absorb allied creatures, restoring 30% of his HP, so the simplest and most obvious option to get the achievement would be to first destroy all the cultists. No cultists - no one to devour.

Chaos Spawn is a dangerous enemy, so it is advisable not to stick closely to it, but nevertheless, once you deal with the cultists, you can now focus all the power of your party on this creature. I won't give specific advice on builds or abilities that work well against this boss, because at this point it all depends on your character and your own battle strategy that you have developed during the Prologue. For example, in my case, Abelard dealt very good damage to the boss, so I focused on strengthening and adding extra action points to him.

If the battle was completed by your victory and Chaos Spawn never used his ability to restore lives, then the achievement will be yours.

💀 Conspiracy

Story related, can't be missed. After your victory over Chaos Spawn, you will meet some dialogues and cutscenes about the condition of the ship and how you will be assigned to the position of Rogue Trader. Accept your new position with honor and with it another achievement.

Aviation Saviour

Stolen Star

Overcome and Overpower

Unmissable one too, complete the game anyhow on Daring difficulty.
Deepest Conviction

I`ll tell you more about Conviction system in The Emperor's Servant/Merciful Soul/Chaos Incarnate achievement section. But for this achievement you have to know there are three types of Convictions throughout the game: Dogmatic, Heretic and Iconoclast. They determine your character's beliefs and attitudes, which in turn influence lines of dialogue and relationships with characters.

Each of these three types of Convictions has 5 stages: Follower, Adherent, Votary, Fanatic and Zealot. Your task, as you progress through the game on Daring difficulty, is to follow one of the Convictions and proceed with it to the highest possible fifth stage (Zealot) and then the achievement will be yours, it will unlock when you beat the game.
Jungle Heat
Cleening Out the Tzeentch
Iron Judgement
No Place Like Home
Whodunit?

Even during the Prologue, just before its end, you will have the opportunity to visit the personal chambers of Theodora Von Valencia. There you learn that since your meeting she has been killed under mysterious circumstances. At the place of her death, you cannot find any clues that indicate who did it, but you will be able to find out about this as you progress through the game.

During Reunion Quest in Chapter III, you`ll have to find your missing teammates in Commorragh. As you rejoin with Sister Argenta and head to the Arena, she will interrupt the entrance to make a revelation about Thedora's final moments.

Amends to the Dead
Thank You for Waiting/Invisible Bureaucracy

Both of these achievements are associated with the quest Mercatum Tabula Officiale from your companion named Jae Heydai. Jae can be first found as players head to the Liege of Footfall for the first time.
The Possessed Ship
The Emperor's Servant/Merciful Soul/Chaos Incarnate

So, a little higher I already talked some things about the Convictions system. Now let's look at it in more detail because following each of the three of them unlocks these three achievements for us. Fortunately, this does not require replaying the game three times until the very end cause you need to reach only Stage 3 Conviction to only any of these.

Convictions system represent the main characters (and its companions) moral compass. As I said before each of these Convictions have 5 stages of adherence and to show how the choices made by the player impact its character they will provide several buffs when leveled. Some items will also require a minimum advancement in a certain path to be used. The story will also react to the players choices and the ending of the game will be affected by their position.

Belief in the holiness and infallibility of the laws of the Imperium. Adherence to the precepts of the God-Emperor and the holy chosen ones, carrying out His will to the ignorant and unruly masses. Unfettered hatred of the enemies of Mankind, be they traitors, heretics, xenos, or servants of Chaos.
FOLLOWER
The Rogue Trader and their allies gain a +10% chance to survive with 1 wound instead of falling unconscious.
ADHERENT
In the first round of combat, all critical hits scored by the Rogue Trader's party inflict Burning. In addition, all fire damage suffered by enemies is increased by +1 for each Conviction: Dogmatic rank. Burning: at the start of every turn the affected target suffers 10 damage and must pass an Agility resistance test with a −10 penalty to stop burning.
VOTARY
Any momentum expenditure by the Rogue Trader and their allies, including heroic acts, is reduced by −20%.
FANATIC
Once per battle the Rogue Trader may choose an ally (including themselves). For 1 round all the target's weapon attacks ignore enemies' armour.
ZEALOT
Until the start of their next turn, the Rogue Trader becomes immune to any attacks from daemons and xenos, and all daemons and xenos in a 5-cell radius consider them a priority target. Can only be used once per battle.

Belief in the value of human life and freedom. Faith in the power of good will, capable of overcoming the horrors and dangers of the universe without the need for artificial prohibitions. The desire to seek out common ground and compromise rather than uncompromising destruction.
FOLLOWER
The Rogue Trader and two random allies start combat with temporary wounds equal to (their own resolve).
ADHERENT
In the first round of every combat, the Rogue Trader and their allies gain +(2 + Rogue Trader's Iconoclast rank) additional MP.
VOTARY
The Rogue Trader and their allies need 30 less momentum to activate a heroic act.
FANATIC
Once per battle the Rogue Trader may choose an ally. The target ally may immediately use their heroic act without spending momentum. Not applicable to allies whose heroic act is on cooldown.
ZEALOT
Any attacks from allies that may hit other allies will be dodged if possible. Any allied ability that may target an ally and has a resistance test will be resisted by allies.

Devotion to the corruption and taint of the warp through total submission to the basest and darkest impulses of the soul or constant worship of the ancient gods of the Immaterium.
FOLLOWER
The Rogue Trader and their allies gain a +20% chance to save a combat stimulant or a medikit after using it.
ADHERENT
For the first round of combat, everyone in the Rogue Trader's party gains a 25% chance to regain 1 AP after killing an enemy, however triggering this effect immediately manifests psychic phenomena. Does not reset the cooldowns of attacks and abilities.
VOTARY
Any psychic phenomena increase the momentum of the Rogue Trader's party by +(2 to 10) instead of decreasing it by −(1 to 5).
FANATIC
Once per battle the Rogue Trader may choose an ally (including themselves) and grant them a +20 bonus to all their characteristics for 2 rounds. After the effect fades, the target falls prone.
ZEALOT
All weapons on the battlefield become warp-imbued for 1 round, gaining bonus damage equal to +(veil degradation level) and an additional +(5 × veil degradation)% armour penetration. Can only be used once per combat.
Master of Trade
Uncover the Ice
Light of the Astronomican

You will be able to create your own paths through the warp after you recruit Cassia Orsellio as your Party Companion. She can be recruited while taking on the Secrets of the Navis Nobilite Quest during Chapter 1.
No Stone Unturned

There are 35 Star systems in the Koronus Expanse, explore them all to earn this one.
Greatest Exploration
Silver-Tongued Diplomat
Too Fast To Die

A cumulative achievement that is counted every time your characters are attacked and they dodge the attack. Every time "Dodge" sign appears instead of the damage value, you are on your way to complete the achievement.

Doom Trader

Just like the previous one: it counts every time any of your party members critically inflicts increased damage on enemies. The trigger is 500 times and the achievement is in the bag.
Fear Not Obliteration

Can be done by an Assassin Tier II Archetype using a powerful sniper rifle such as the Eye of Hecaton, and selecting as many Talents that benefit this type of damage.
Pentakill

Some of your characters have abilities that have an area of effect and can cause damage to more than one character, this includes grenades. Look for large clusters of weak enemies that are as close to each other as possible.

This achievement can be obtained during the Prologue in the personal chambers of Theodora Von Valencia. Near the elevator leading to the bridge you will meet a squad of cultists who can be used to unlock the achievement. Don't forget to save your game before starting the combat.

Rookie Skipper/Void Wolf

Purge the Unclean

So we can see here that there are 5 types of enemy fleet in the whole game. There is no way to keep track of which ones you have already faced, so anytime you see a ship, engage in battle.

Name
Description
How to recruit
Calligos Winterscale
A swashbuckling brute and mythic hero. This lowborne, through heroic deeds, managed to take control of his own dynasty and become a Rogue Trader. He’s a classic rogue that’s more adventurous than your average aristocrat.
  • You’ll first meet Calligos in Act 2, during the Coronation. Improve your relationship by choosing Iconoclast options.
  • Progress to Act 4 where you’ll meet him again on Quetza Temer. When working together, you can choose to kill the Aeldari with Calligos, or find a peaceful resolution.
Incendia Bastaal-Chorda
A firebrand Rogue Trader that seeks to destroy pirate activity at any cost. She’s a stuffy Imperialist that would rather see you burn than change her violent principles.
  • Like Calligos, you’ll first meet Incendia in Act 2. Make a good impression on her during the Act 2 Coronation ceremony. Stay in her good graces. She prefers Dogmatic solutions.
  • You’ll meet her again in Act 4 on the planet Footfall. Complete the main quest in a way that is most beneficial to her.
Uralon
A chaotic rebel that follows heretical ideals. Only a spawn of Chaos can recruit this cultist.
  • In the Prologue, collect the Chaos Blade piece. Next, in Act 1 you’ll find the second Chaos Blade piece in Raikad Minoris. Keep these blade pieces and do not lose them.
  • Follow the Heretical Conviction path — in Act 4, multiple party members will leave your ship permanently.
  • Progress until you reach Eufrates II. A chaos altar will appear in your personal quarters and your ship will change. Use the two pieces of the Chaos Blade at the altar to fully worship the Chaos Gods.
  • Continue the main quest on Eufrates II. Turn against the Space Marines and wipe them out. You’re now totally on the side of Chaos — you must allow the planet Eufrates II to fall to the Chaos Gods. After completing this step, Uralon will join your party.

@Xaeleen - I find your guide about getting Incendia Chorda as a companion not entirely true or I found other way to get her. This time I am doing full Iconoclast run and I've been nothing Incendia could like, but before I encountered her on Footfall I found out the truth about Aspyce and Reverent Hieronymus (you can find cryo-vaults in Omicron system and confront H when you reach the Footfall and Martyr's Endurance), then you have to side with Vladaym on Footfall, help him get Hieronymus (and the rest for fight against Incendia) as an ally and then persuade Chorda to not fight againts you and tell her that she has been manipulated by Hieronymus, that her judgements were too harsh and that she liked bloodspill. Then you have to banish her from Footfall (that ends with a fight against Hieronymus) and after battle against the Inquisition forces in Porta Septentum Chorda will arrive on your ship not only with a gift for you but also she stays in your retinue.

@WoebegoneHeart2 - there are three secrets in the Voidship Shrine: 1) Orb from missionary Ziek (you have to open it getting four right answers: throne, blood, weakness, purity); 2) obtaining Fury from reliquary (there is a button on the reliquary and after pressing it you have to press five plates to spell Furia - plates are on the shrine's floor); 3) help Initiante Klotus with a quest Troubling Confessions.

Mysteries of the Ecclesiarchy how do you complete that one?
Aurianne Valerius 2 Oct, 2024 @ 1:11am
Your guide is really well presented but it didn’t helped me at all. Maybe you should explain more on how to obtain certain achievements for your guide to be more useful. I would have been interested in some achievements that, sadly, you don’t explain at all (exemple : Fully Prepared, Frog Trader, Enraged Dragon, Sweet Perdition, Imperial Route). A pretty guide doesn’t mean it is useful. Sorry. :XavierCalcazar:

Is anyone else having trouble getting the "This is fine" achievement from the confessor fight? Ive done it 4 times without my character taking any damage but still haven't gotten the achievement
Iffy 14 Aug, 2024 @ 9:27am
Yeah "Greatest Exploration" Is the last achievement i need as well. I've done 4 full playthroughs. i really hope it isn't something stupid like the planets past the point of no return counts towards the achievement since i have no idea how your meant to hand in the reports for those planets
Icehawk96 30 Jul, 2024 @ 7:21pm
Did you managed to get "Greatest exploration"? i've just finished my second run and this time i explored every system thoroughly, but still i couldn't obtain the achivement

@eveneth Imperial Route has a journal-like series of skill checks (quite tough). You have to pass each one, and at the very end, choose to continue on towards the Imperium instead of turning back. Well, try to.
